Since the project is already into construction, the ability for an abutter to make landscaping suggestions at this point has probably come-and-gone unless the developer is unusually receptive. But this need not necessarily be left to chance. In my state (MA), many communities have adopted Site Plan Review bylaws and regulations that would allow for reviewing landscaping plans as part of that process before any construction can begin. Personally speaking, as a local Planning Board member, I have a responsibility to listen to abutter's concerns including visual impacts and then try and work with the applicant to mitigate reasonable concerns which could include landscaping options. However, the time and place to be properly heard is at the corresponding public hearing, not during construction.

Hi... my suggestion would be to find local clubs to join, learn all you can about bonsai in general (read lots of books, not just 1-2 because they'll all have diff. viewpoints and you want some consensus on things). After you know it all :), you'll have a better idea of what to do when with which trees, and what not to do. I would shorten most of those branches however. But don't try to do everything all at once... the tree doesn't know or care that you're in a hurry, but if you mess up it'll let you know and it'll be too late. You need to know about climates, indoor environments, lighting, temps, humidity (vs watering), watering (the hardest thing to get right ever), which trees to keep in and which to keep out when and where and why. Pruning for shape is not the be all and end all, and Mr. Miyagi was an actor ;). Go find the clubs, then take your tree in to a meeting when they say it's the right time to do it, and listen. Better to have a dorky looking thing (like the above) for a while than getting it wrong - you can't glue branches back on :). And right now keeping your tree alive is the important thing. Good luck!

So you need an Interior Designer to make this your space.IMO the best thing to start with are the most expensive pieces so usually sofas, beds, and lighting. Mid priced photo frames I usually go to a framers work shop and order in bulk usually get a good deal. I would suggest you go to good furniture stores in your area and they often have designers on site that can start the ball rolling. You do not want to buy a sofa or chair without a test drive.

Your apartment looks very small, I don't think there is much of a choice of how and where the furniture should go.
