The link below is a great place to find transferware. She has a large selection of nice pieces and it might be a good place to compare. She also does custom wall arrangements with any number of plates. I like the 4 plates to the right of the buffet whether on a plate rack or hung separately. I would not hang anything above the DR mirror as I think it will be too high. Definitely hang something larger over the sofa. Try the painting that's over the mantel, it should be large enough. Perhaps put the DR mirror above the mantel and do a collection of transferware plates on the DR wall. With your color scheme I think black and white is best. Many of the reds in transferware tend to pinkish tones which I don't think would work with your scheme. Of course there are many other colors to choose from or you could be very careful to choose only the really red tones. Find another place for the botanicals, perhaps they could be hung in a group. The most popular maker of these plates is Bordallo, in Portugal. If you go to ebay, and seach for "green Bordallo plates" you will find a lot of them, in all sizes. The size you want is usually labeled "dessert plate" or "salad plate." There are also Chinese knockoffs that are just as good, and antique majolica plates that cost a fortune. Last week I found two green majolica dessert plates at Goodwill. They were 99 cents apiece. Score!

Nicole, I have plates that large on my walls. You probably need to go to an antique shop where they sell the larger spring clamps. I could not find them at Lowe's, Wal-Mart, etc., but I did find them at an antique shop. I hope you find one. I know it will be a lovely addition to your home.
