we painted our whole first floor SW Blonde. There is so much light variations in the rooms, it looks like we used different colors. It was easier to paint everything the same. Now i wont forget what color we used, and the color variation due to lighting differences is enough so its not boring. We love the color, it is very versatile and looks good in all light. Its just a nice neutral backdrop with color. If you like BM Moore paints, we used Flowering Herbs in the hallways upstairs..it is a beautiful taupey green and looks nice where its visible to the the SW Blonde. In the past, Ive used alot of BM Bar Harbor Beige, which is my all time favorite neutral beige.

Take a look at SW Repose Gray, Mindful Gray and Dorian Gray. They are in the greige family but have a hint of green. With your honey oak cabinets and green countertops I think you would like any of them. The Repose is lightest. We have used it in two bedrooms, a hall and home office. It works great with gray carpet, wood trim and white trim. Good luck and let us know what you decide and for sure show us before and after pics!

I agree the Snowbound will look brighter against the White Dove. I would caution regarding the Snowbound on the ceiling, I considered it and had the painter paint many large samples in different areas and it took on a taupe/pink tone against my SW Crushed Ice walls and all dark wood floors and this is in an area that faces the west with a lot of afternoon sun. I ended up going with the SW Ceiling paint and its is awesome no matter what color is on your walls, it hides the imperfections if any in your ceiling too. I was originally concerned with the Ceiling paint conflicting with walls in some rooms painted Snowbound and cabinets up to the ceiling in Snowbound but no issue at all where the wall or cabinets meet the ceiling.

Hi all - yes, it’s a lot of color. But after many years of renting, we are thrilled to be in a position where we got to choose the paint colors and we really love how it all turned out - except for the trim, of course. The previous owners made a lot of interesting paint choices (like SW Denim in the guest bath and bedrooms 🙈), so we were forced to repaint anyways. I don’t know if the home was originally a Craftsman, but it was built in the 50’s and taken down to the studs in 2014 - hence the new windows. Our home faces the West and we have several large oak trees in our yard, so for the most part, the house is really lacking in natural lighting (except for the dining room). We’ve added some more recessed lighting in the main area to lighten things up and are also in the process of switching all the light bulbs from soft lighting. We also have low ceilings - I think 9’ tall? Here is the dining room - ignore the light fixture as it’s not staying.
