Sherwin Williams paint color(s) for open floor plan

Hello,

We will soon have our living area repainted. Any ideas for color or colors for this space would be greatly appreciated. Thes pics are from when we first bought the house. We now have a cream colored carpet in living room and dark brown leather furniture. We also have gray and white tile in kitchen. Thanks!

Why not show photos of “now”.

I already had those photos downloaded on my computer so it was easier. I just wanted to give an idea of the cabinet and countertop color as well as the layout of walls in case anyone had ideas for more than one color. The only reason I mentioned SW is because that is the paint that the painter will be using.

We are using relaxed khaki, universal khaki and wool skein in our home...they are either wall colors, ceiling or trim...all very neutral.. Pam

SW has a program on their website called "chip it" which will help you pull colors from a sample and figure out what would work. Have you tried using that? most members will ask you for a picture of the area you want to paint, too! best wishes

Looking for a Sherwin Williams warm gray paint color

Hello, as a Designer, I use a lot of Sherwin-Williams paints. Two recent colors that seem to have those warm properties would be Perfect Greige (SW6073) which will be a great mix of both light tan and grey as well as, Light French Gray(SW0055) which is a beautiful clear warm grey. I like the trim for these two colors in Dover White (SW6385). In fact, I just finished a new medical center and we actually alternated these colors in the exam rooms. LFG on top and PG on the bottom, separated with chair rail in Dover White and then flipped the scheme every other exam room. The hallway was done in the single color of Light French Grey. Rather a nightmare for the painters but when completed, it has gotten so many compliments. I will be posting finished pictures of the clinic next week. I hope this information helps.

Look for a greigeish color pulled from the backsplash. I would be afraid that the tans you are considering would turn pink on your walls.

Take a look at SW Repose Gray, Mindful Gray and Dorian Gray. They are in the greige family but have a hint of green. With your honey oak cabinets and green countertops I think you would like any of them. The Repose is lightest. We have used it in two bedrooms, a hall and home office. It works great with gray carpet, wood trim and white trim. Good luck and let us know what you decide and for sure show us before and after pics!
