yep, that gets old whether I have to cook it or decide where to get food already cooked to bring home.

Yes, Uptown Gal. And it seems I'm always doing dishes. Not a whole lot, there's only me here and I do them right after I'm done eating; but still. That's the main factor I consider when deciding if I'm cooking or getting carry-out!

it would sit for days and days before I would have enough to make sense

I have been cooking almost every thing in my Instant Pot pressure cooker lately. It does not heat up the house. One pot to clean. And tons of good recipes of all types on pinterest and Google. Keto, diet, vegan, etc etc they are all available for free. And everything has been very good. If we have leftovers, which we usually do, they go either in the fridge for a meal later that week or it goes in the freezer.

I made hard boiled eggs for the first time in the Instant Pot today...6 minutes on the risotto/rice setting., then in an ice bath and then peel in a few minutes, peeled very easily....I was so skeptical....It is a miracle! They are perfectly cooked....There has not been one thing I have made in the Instant Pot that has not been so incredible and now that we have had the last of the "adult" kids move out (boy did that last one eat a LOT) we are cooking much less in quantity but want to keep with mostly home cooked to be healt

Yes! Cooking dinner and dishes. We don’t buy takeout, but Fridays we found that amy’s frozen pizza was pretty good. (Now we do Trader j. It’s more affordable.) A break from all the cooking/cleaning. When the kids were little they got a kick out of Friday pizza night. When they were in their early teens they had their own ideas about what they wanted to eat. That didn’t change Friday pizza night. You don’t know how many times over the years I’ve thought “what am I making for dinner tonight?” to realize it’s Friday and I am SO relieved!!
