I used to be a fan of this show, not so much now. The one thing that always seemed to upset people was the popular vote of the audience. Weak talent forged on because of their strong fan base while the more talented were quickly voted off.

That said, I agree with Gray. Spicer won't last long.

Let's face it, this show is old and tired. The producers have been tweaking and trying for years.

They need controversy to drum up business. After all, this isn't volunteer work.

For those who don't want to watch Spicer, get up and take a break.

There will always be people you like or not on shows If it really bothers anyone that much dont watch. Pretty simple solution there folks.

Asking others to not watch a show they like because you do not is pretty selfish. I do not understand what the big deal is.

I have a cousin and two friends battling stage IV cancers so it has put things into perspective for me big time. Seems a pretty small thing to care about. It's a TV show.

Of course it's a TV show. It's an escape from the carp we deal with in real life. That's why it's so unfortunate that such a despicable man is being given the limelight once again.

I believe their audience skews older and rural so they've always had conservatives like Bristol Palin and Rick Perry, along with football players and country western singers. They're pushed along in the competition because of viewer votes while contestants who are really fun to watch get sent home. I like contestants to advance because of merit and it started to feel unfair. When they lost Derek and his wonderful choreography I stopped watching it all together.

Michael, why does TV have to be something that covers something bad up? Why can't it just be entertainment? I, too, would not be interested in seeing Spicer on anything ever again. I don't see his contribution as entertainment. It seems like nothing more than something to start a lot of controversy. I also hope he will be 1 and done.

In the overall scheme of things, a TV show is not something I get worked up about. I have a choice whether I watch or not. It's that simple whereas other things that may be important to me, I have no control over.

right. that's what I do. there's a whole ton of 'celebrities' that I won't watch - not on TV or in movies. Every time they start slamming conservatives, promote disgusting things, I put them on my 'do not watch' list. That's my option, others can watch whatever filth they want to. There isn't much on TV I do watch - most is just garbage. Most movies I see promo'd are the same. The last movie I went to was 'Firehouse Dog'. many years ago.

I'm just the opposite desertsteph - I watch people on TV or in the movies regardless of their politics. Patricia Heaton and I probably don't share much in the way of political views, but that's her business. If I liked Ted Nugent's music, I would listen to it regardless of what he believes. My house painter is a rabid 2nd amendment Hilary-hating Republican. He's a great a painter.

I know or am interested in so few of those participating. I can't quite picture Mr. Spicer as either graceful or athletic and would expect an early elimination but I watch so little TV in the evenings I will probably read it on a news website and not see it for myself.

I say, wait until he has practiced and practiced and finally stepping out on

the dance floor...with the show cameras running...and then say, "oops, sorry,

we lied. You understand that, don't you? You're not on the show".

I come from a divided family-half avid Trump supporters, half rabid haters. If I chose my tv shows based on my political likes and dislikes I would go crazy trying to keep it straight. TV is entertainment to me, I could give a hoot who believes what. If I can maintain close relationships with family members whose beliefs are opposite mine, I can certainly watch someone I don't agree with on DWTS.

I never chose any type of entertainment based on personality, looks, or political affiliation. My only interest is will I enjoy what is presented. I know that movies, plays, etc. are not real life and someone that portrays a character is probably different from the character in real life. If you are so wrapped up in who does what perhaps it may be time to step back a little and start asking yourself why.

No controversy for me :-) This is not a show I would watch regardless of who might appear. I watch very little network TV at all - most of it is mindless garbage.

People need to get a life. It's so tiring to hear constant complaining. (about EVERYTHING) Turn the dang tv off, and stop being upset over something trivial. No one is forcing anyone to watch.

Was that directed at me? I'm hardly wrapped up in a television show, although I did just binge the 3rd season of Handmaid's Tale. So maybe I was wrapped up in that. ;)

Andie, The Handmaid's Tale is the perfect example of what I was talking about in my above post. I know that Elisabeth Moss is a scientologist, which I consider one of the most ridiculous cults out there. I would have missed a great show if I let my personal beliefs dictate what I watched.

An actor's personal beliefs are not in the same category as what Sean Spicer did day after day when he stood at the podium in the Press Briefing Room and lied to the American people. Now he's apparently looking for some sort of redemption.
