Not 100% Sure About This Rug.....
Comments (40)Yes, that is what I am afraid of also, Chispa. The rug isn't the least bit mustardy, but it looks so in most of the pictures. I am going to keep it until they grout. Had long talk with ID today and he is 100% confident that when walls are painted, furniture is in, all is installed, it will look just as it does in the pic of it i like. He's never given me bad advice, so I'm going with it. We may be redoing my son's two room suite for my mother next year, and she loves the rug, so it could always move upstairs :-) Scouring the factory for more fabric for swivel chairs, we are 2 yds shy of the amount required by Lee for COM. They haven't come back with the up charge on the banded hem yet, that should be interesting. Have def decided on black iron sconces and antique brass swing arm lamps, not gilded iron for either....See MoreKitchen Help! Not sure how to brighten it up?
Comments (92)Color. You need color. The paint samples are all nice but they won't do anything to cheer up/brighten up that kitchen. If you don't want color on the walls, then use your lightest Warm Neutral, brighten up the space with accessories and doodads in a bright cheerful color... and I myself would paint the dining set a matching bright cherry color. (Meant to say cheery, but Cherry sounds pretty good!)...See MoreI’m not sure what kind of rug I need for my living room
Comments (11)Saxa I don’t think those water fountains goes with our rustic/farm theme. I think they are to contemporary for my taste. Also my three cats would have a field day with them. They love playing in water. Thank you for your suggestion! Much appreciated Daisy and Val as stated in my OP we are going to lower the tv. It is too high as it is. The plan is to remove the mantle and lower it about 5” and then lower the tv. Everyone in our house is in agreement that putting it on the side of the fireplace would be ackward for anyone sitting on the couch in front of the windows. And yes the cable will be put inside the fireplace. We specifically added a wall plug behind the stone. We just haven’t gotten to it yet. I’m still looking for that perfect rug!...See MoreNot sure if I should switch these rugs-Living room/Dining room
Comments (4)@Judy Graham Part of the reason I have it so close to the window is that the light above the table would be completely off center. I suppose I just need to get a smaller table and ditch the china cabinet. It was my husband's from a long time ago and he really thinks we should keep it. If I move the sofa to face the fireplace, the back of the sofa would be facing the kitchen. I just remodeled my kitchen and it is now the prettiest part of the open floor plan....See MoreShannon A
