Comments (13)I had a similar experience last week. I saw the caterpillars, lots of them, but could never see a chrysalis. Last week, I saw one one my hollyhock, which was at least three feet from the butterfly bush, and wondered how it got there. I was watching it for a few days when we had quite a storm one night, and it was gone the next day - probably blown/washed away. Comments (9)Cori Ann, I put this in the ground at the end of January, got it a few days before. This is the first bud and I was shocked at it blooming so quickly. I didn't pinch any off, I am so starved for roses, I just couldn't bare to! As you can see from one of the pictures, she has another bud now. I am very curious to see how long the bloom lasts.
