Perhaps his mom is a busy body but she wasn't trying to do harm by mowing. No. she was trying to help, BUT, this woman runs mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, snow blowers, her own tractor, and who knows what else, so how is it unreasonable to say she should have checked oil?? She knew it has sat all winter, she knew the whole story behind buying it. The yard probably needed mowing and she wanted to help out. No mower in decent shape would run out of oil. Sounds like the daughter bought a piece of crap mower to begin with. Sounds a little like you and her mom in law are related. And for your information, the mower was bought by a man for his son, brand new.. Son didnt like it and it sat a good while. My daughter bought it and as a stated ONLY TRIED IT OUT ONCE then put it in garage all winter. I also found out she pumped up one tire that had leaked down, and also charged the battery. Wasnt quite is summer running shape was it? and since she did all that, wouldnt a normal person check the oil? Hell she even brought gas with her to gas it up. The thing was barely broken in, if it was at all. Original owner and his son i doubt even ran it enough to even get to the oil change first due on a new engine. Duh. No mower of mine that is in "like new" shape would be hurt by running it. Really? then why does a like new engine, that the oil is on ADD or bit below on the stick, and is run cross ways over and over on a hillside sieze up? maybe due to starvation on each pass till it is starved enough that it happens? Only thing i agree with is it "may" not have happened if she had been on all flat ground. If you want your mower to stay put take the key out. Key was in one of those screw and bolt cabinets on the wall, she searched till she found it. Making enemies out of the in-laws is a shortcut to a miserable life. Who says it isnt already miserable? Ok, put yourself in daughters place, two days later, mother n law was nosing in again about making a flower bed at daughters, i heard her say, " i would love to cut that grass down short where i am going to put flower bed, but NOTHING AROUND HERE WORKS.... Would you blow a gasket or say something nice to her and pat her on the head? I told her it would be working if you hadn't got on it and blew the engine. She got mad and left, good.... Oh, and after talking with her husband, maybe reason her stuff works is cause the husband always makes sure they have oil and such. But again, shes been around equipment long enough to know that you do it as well. I can see your point only because you dont know her. if you did, you would feel different. Now you will probably think, "well keep stuff away from her" if so.. you should realize that is hardly possible 100% of the time. Anyway, what's done is done, its to late. Engine is coming off soon to see what the damage is, which i feel its a bent rod, if that is all, it would be hard or costly to fix. barring any cylinder or crank damage.

natal, I'm glad I can always count on you to keep me in line. You're always on time and consistent when you stop in to tell me what I am and what I do wrong and what I say is wrong. What I can't figure out is your facination with what I say. You've been critiqing things I say on his forum for over a year now. When is it going to stop? You don't like me and that is obvious, OK, I get it and I'm sure others who post here and see your repeated attacks on me get it too. So say what's really on your mind and get off my back. To tell you the truth what you say to me is just annoying, it doesn't mean anything because you are not a regular poster on this forum so I don't respect or value anything you have to say. You only swoop in to give your 2 cents and tell me what I've done wrong on certain days. I have to tell you I'm sick of it. I'm not your child, your friend, your neighbor, so stop getting so familiar with me all the time. You are creeping me out.

I read that she was annoyed by screaming children running up and down the aisle in First Class. I would be annoyed by that, too. Mostly with the parents who were allowing it, then with the FAs who are probably too scared of the ruckus it would cause with those same parents if THEY tried to stop the unruly kids. I wouldn't expect that kind of atmosphere if I was sitting in First Class. I'm not excusing Trump's behavior, though, it sounds like she over-reacted. I think it's times like those when fellow passengers need to get slightly involved and shut those kids down, because the FAs can't be everywhere at once AND the FAs have to walk a really fine line between enforcement and diplomacy/customer service. For all they know, that situation could be a set-up by the airline to test their skills and see if the FAs perform to their liking. If the adults on board had simply blocked the aisles so the kids were unable to run back and forth, maybe then the parents could have settled them down and strapped them in. This is assuming all the children had seats assigned to them. I know up to a certain age, you can (ridiculously) hold them in your lap, on some airlines.

The gaping difference here is that sexualizing a being who is both physically and emotionally unmatured and incapable of understanding or responding in kind, someone who would be incontrovertibly damaged just by knowing of this interest, is perverted in the truest sense of the word. Perverted people who obsess over inanimate objects for their sexual interests in the privacy of their own homes, do no harm to society or individuals. Those who act upon pedophilia, or just promulgate it as their "normal" do damage to both. Damaging society and individuals is crime. There are some thorny issues between pre-operative transgender people and society when it comes to public accommodation. Sharing semi-private facilities such as restrooms and changing rooms can be uncomfortable even among people of a single agreed upon gender. Sharing such spaces with someone of the same body but different mind, or the same mind but different body, can increase that discomfort greatly. This must be 10 times worse for the transgendered person who might like to make the choice that conforms with his/her gender identity, but might, instead, have to choose the one that's least likely to end in getting beaten up. There is no easy way to resolve this, but by all parties being respectful and polite, there's no harm to society or individuals. There might be a little emotional discomfort, but nothing traumatic. No crime, except that perpetrated by the bullies who use their fists. And that, by far, is the situation where the transgender's "normal" most impacts anyone else. Ergo, it's a false comparison. To sum it up more succinctly, there's the old definition of "conservative" in the West: I don't care what the neighbors do so long as they don't scare the cattle.
