Control weed populations and use reflective mulches to repel thrips. What is the REST of your trim in the house, that room? What is the photo? A door? A cabinet? What? Not brown, if that's what you're thinking. White or wall color seems your answer.

Since you like green, there are so many variations of sage green - some lean a little blue, some more gray, some warmer. It will all depend on what the Weathered Wood shingles from GAF works well with any of them - it leans more gray, just like an old wooden bench, but still with a "wood" tone. There is another brand of shingles whose Weathered Wood leans more brown and warmer - I can't recall the brand right now. Will you have to replace the siding, or just paint it? I would suggest that you look into making the trim around your windows and doors a little fatter by adding a 1/2-1"strip of molding to the existing. That will make them more of a pleasant architectural feature.
