Medium Gray is usually a good roof color with a light sage green for the siding.

Blue siding, white trim, gray or black roof. I am pleased with mine overall: Behr Blueprint, Swiss Coffee (White) Trim, Owens Corning Estate Gray roof. I am also a fan of blueish-grays with white trim and either a dark gray or black roof. I sometimes wish I picked Adirondack Blue.

Weathered wood or a medium gray. I would not get a black roof. I like the sage green, but a lot of colors will go with either of those roofs.

Take a look at a deeper gray/green with gray roof and bright white trim. Fresh and interesting.

I wouldn't expect to like a deep gray solution, but it actually looks amazing!

I think we need to know what sort of style you like in homes. Your house can lean in many directions . I like MCM and it could easily have that look with some landscaping and color choice . This is my fave for inspiration for that style

Medium gray Timberline shingles go with more colors. I have had 3 houses with gray roofs and different body colors. It’s the most neutral roof you can get, so if you tire of whatever color you pick now, you can change the house and not worry about the shingles.

Medium blue-grey looks classic. Deep greens (not toothpaste minty green) can add sophistication to a simple house (with white trim).

My previous house and barn were BM River Blue with ivory trim. It was so pretty people always commented on it. Full disclosure: grey roof and grey house are not as interesting to me but can look gorgeous on a small house like yours.

Here are the blue barn and a “grey-on-grey” smaller house. The roof on the grey house is Timberline Appalachian Sky, which is more colors than just plain gray.

Thank you!! i typically am leaning toward like a farmhouse style or i have been thinking like a sagey green siding, white trim, and black roof. I love the white with black roof style, but not sure how I feel about that on my house. I have a neighbor that has white and one tgat has light grey. The front faces the south and gets very hot. I live in a place tgat has winter about 8 months of the year, too. Not sure if these are things to consider as well.

I would never get a gray roof as I’m not a fan of cool colors (gray and blue in particular). Unless maybe if I was going to paint my house white.

We just got a new roof and I picked a color called Weathered Wood. It’s just like it sounds - a dullish faded brown. Our house is partial red brick/partial very pale beige siding.

Medium gray roof would look great and provide lots of color choices for the house. Agree with light sage green and white trim.

I think a black roof on your house is going to look too heavy.

Melissa Black is not great for your house, but, look for a nice charcoal gray. Its almost black, but, has a softer work. Also your house is not farmhouse style, so dont even consider trying to make it look like farm house. I do like the idea of sagey green and white trim, with the charcoal roof.

I like it. Apparently you live in the north, so excessive summer heat may not be a problem for you and a black roof.

It looks more charcoal than black so not bad. This is what I think of for a medium gray.

I like the picture. It looks very nice. The roof appears to be charcoal. You can never make a mistake with charcoal roof shingles.

The charcoal roof is the darker gray that is offered by every roofing company. They all have a lighter gray too, but I do like that deeper charcoal with sage green. It will look great. Trim n white or ivory (depending on the green you choose) will absolutely work. It is a good combination for a smaller house. It works on most houses.

Since you like green, there are so many variations of sage green - some lean a little blue, some more gray, some warmer. It will all depend on what the Weathered Wood shingles from GAF works well with any of them - it leans more gray, just like an old wooden bench, but still with a "wood" tone. There is another brand of shingles whose Weathered Wood leans more brown and warmer - I can't recall the brand right now.

Will you have to replace the siding, or just paint it?

I would suggest that you look into making the trim around your windows and doors a little fatter by adding a 1/2-1"strip of molding to the existing. That will make them more of a pleasant architectural feature.
