Lighter grout is fine, just seal it twice and again once a year, you'll be fine. I like the white mixed with black, I think it opens up the room to have a light color...I would have gone with that but I have an almond tub I had to work around...just couldn't see pulling it together with white...but I used a light grout with this floor I just laid, did it myself in 2 days and the hex shapes are soo much easier to lay down, no spacers needed....but it did take my kids 3 days taking turns to seal it..lots of grout lines! :) They enjoyed doing that..kind of like painting! :) Tara

Thanks you guys! Cooperbailey I was tipped off to Lowe's lighting by the Just Beachy blog - I never would have tought it! I was eyeing the one you have in your kitchen for my dining area (small table.) But it won't work with what I'm doing for the kitchen island lighting, which is in very close proximity. Nanna I bought the mirror years ago at a place in Boston called IN Home Furnishings. FANTASTIC store, albeit a tad pricey, usually only bought stuff on sale. It's hanging as an accent in my powder room in my PA house. It is pretty small and I'd be afraid the wrong scale for the sink - it's 11w x 15h at its furthest points, and the mirror itself is only 5x7. There's a shop here in town that has lots of white washed mirrors with great gesso (or sometimes carved) frames, I'll take a peek at what they have. If I find one I like I could silver leaf it. Or not. ;-)

Alexamorrie- that's what our carpenter said when he came by and I vented to him because he was the first one I saw after I saw that (because the p trap was still leaking!). Yes, that is a bunch of scratches and a couple of gouges on the bottom shelf. Good you got a new hood may_flowers. Hope we'll be as lucky. My dh is so p.o.'d. Scratched area, where the bowl is.

Very nice..I just finished a purple bathroom for a client. The only thing I would comment on is the finish of the wall paint. I would have painted it in matte finish because the gloss shows wall imperfections.
