Help needed to find a grey paint color

Happy Friday!
We moved into new construction and now that our home warranty is up, we’re able to paint.
The paint color I’ve been eyeing for over a year is Revere Pewter, but after buying a sample and putting it in the walls in various places, it’s too dark. My husband and I would like a grey, but not one as dark as Revere Pewter.
My husband also wants to do the wall behind the kitchen table an accent color and the wall behind the TV an accent.

What is a gray that’s not a dark and isn’t so tannish/beige?

Here are some pictures of the sample and of the kitchen/family room. The first three are this. Morning and the last one is tonight not long ago.

Have a look at BM's American White (2112-70) or Cement Gray (2112-60).

BM classic gray is the nicest gray that I used in my home. everyone comments on how pretty it is.

Funcolors, thanks so much!! I have been running back and forth to Sherwin Williams and I am now in a sort of "sample hell". I am thinking my problem is that my tile is not really grey at all but more of a taupe,greyish beige, swirled with dark brown (since tile is not laid yet, I still have option of another which is a darker color than terracotta but that is what it reminds me of). If I attach another picture, can you tell me the color on the walls and on the island/cabinets (it is a kitchen picture and I am doing a bath but I love the colors). Thanks so much! Oldbat2be, thank you so much for the mock ups! This was the kick in the pants I needed to talk to my contractor. I forgot to mention that our w/d will be white too so the cabs will likely clash with those, so I think we've got to paint. mdln, good suggestion -- I'm pretty sure they are warm. I'll check and see if cool lights help. daisychain01, thanks, reveal hopefully coming soon! raven, I just looked at Krypton and it is beautiful. I'm going out to get some samples tomorrow and will paint a sample board of my top 3 colors and put it in the room and report back.

We used Kendall charcoal on our island cabinetry. I tried to post a photo from the other (working) side of the island because it has more of that paint color showing, but my photos of it won’t download from the cloud for some reason. We chose the Kendall charcoal because it was the closest we seemed able to get to matching our range. (Most times of day it looks like a complete match, some times of day it just looks very well coordinated, we were content with that.) I gave the photo of the kitchen that doesn’t show the island color just so you could see the other colors I used in my kitchen.

There are many more different coleus, there are companies that just specialize in coleus, would you believe it? https://rosydawngardens.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzIPai7ur9QIVzRXUAR2QwwYWEAAYAiAAEgL6D_D_BwE And they are so, so easy to propagate, Just cut off at a slant a quarter inch below a node and stick in water and the roots grow, and change the water frequently until that happens. Or if you have rooting powder, dust the end with rooting powder and stick it directly in not-too tightly packed soil. Have one grouping of leaves above the cut end (you need some leaves for photosynthesis) but not too many leaves or all the energy goes to the leaves and it won't make roots. Keep in the light, but not too bright or too hot. You can find lots of directions on line. Your house would also look nice with window boxes, as do many houses. Don't be shy about asking people for cuttings, like many plants, they get bushier when they are trimmed properly, so you are actually doing them a favor!

I’ll check those out thank you! I love that paint color in your kitchen. Very pretty!

Time to get more samples at the store this weekend.

You don't want to get a grey that's too cool with your warm countertop and stools. The current colour works nicely but I understand the wish to change.

Get as many samples as you can, and move them around to all walls. What looks good in one house or even one room in a house, will not always look good in another room. Gray is a very hard color, to get right. It took 3 tries, in my living room, to get a gray that didnt turn green, even with samples up before I picked the color. The first gray I used, was used in another room, and in that room, is a perfect gray. In the living room, it was a terrible shade of green.
