Do you own this stool? If not, what do you think?
Comments (10)I posted this stool photo as a suggestion for remodel-mama a few weeks ago. As far as I know, no one owns it here. I love it! (Obviously.) Just the right combination of comfy/contemporary/industrial/vintage. Versatile. Cool. On top of everything else, a good price! Seems like it is worth waiting for, but you have to stop looking if you order them. I have two sets of stools, and still don't have the ones I originally loved, because they were on backorder for so long and I gave up waiting. Shoulda kept waiting....See MoreGlass door backless cabinets hung on window
Comments (15)How funny that I just decided to take a browse over here. The cabinet in front of windows is really beautiful, especially if you're trying to let in additional light, which we were. Yes, you do have to take it all out about every 6 months to clean (3 if you're really really clean). My daughter just did ours this weekend. Ours faces west and is SO pretty as the sun sets in the evening. Our cabinet maker framed the inside, and from the outside, it looks like a picture window. Here's a couple of close-ups. Comments (11)I have the same stools as jamielo but in a distressed black finish. I got mine at Linen's n Things, too and found them on sale, something like buy 1 get one at 50% off plus a 20% off coupon AND I ordered them online but picked them up at the store so saved on shipping to boot. I bought 5 (3 at island counter, 2 at peninsula counter) so basically got one and a half of them free...awesome deal. They are comfy and slide completely under my 12" granite overhang. The bottoms are wider, as rosie pointed out, but are not a problem. And if you just want to stand at the counter, well, it's not like they are solid on the bottom or anything...I can stand with my hips flush against the counter top and feet under the stool. We have fairly narrow walkways behind both the island and peninsula bar where the stools are and have never stubbed a toe or anything. And I have 3 kids that often forget to push the stools back under the overhang. HTH! Robin...See MoreNeed help finding backless counter/bar stools 25-29"
Comments (6)Thanks! Does anyone else have an opinion on the chair/cabinetry combo? I am switching to gold hardware on the cabinets. I do see what Jan is saying about the rustic look. I think return shipping on the chairs will be a lot so I'm hoping I can make it work somehow. I really want to brighten up the kitchen as much as I can....See MoreMomofthree Ma
