Help me pic bedroom nightstands please? Pics
Comments (5)If you want to have two matching stands on each side just get two baby dressers like the third photo. They are 36" like you are looking for. They won't clash with the full size dresser you already have. Oak baby furniture is not as common so you will have to do more Googleing to find them. I would not put a solid black or white painted ones in the space. To harsh with oak. If you want to do a painted piec get one with an oak top to blend it in a bit with the oak you have. I think a deep painted color like the second photo could bring in some pop to the room but NOT with two of them painted the same color. That would be overkill. If you are putting a nightstand in front of the window you should stick with swag valances. Swag valance would look cute on the window by the chair. The comforter looks like it leaves a gap at the bottom and does not hit the siderails. I thought it might be the wrong size. I had to live with a full size comforter on a new queen size bed for a long time until I had the money for a queen size one. I thought maybe you were just using this one until you found the right one for the new bed. One thing to consider when shopping for a queen size comforter is that even though is says 'Queen' on the label it may not be the right dimension for the new deeper mattresses they sell now days. Something to look out for when ordering online or through a catalog. Check the measurements. They can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Comments (7)What are the paint colors in the rest of the home? What will the flooring be? My first thought for your room (without knowing more) was BM Pashima. It’s a warm and neutral greige. I’ve always painted my guest rooms in lightly warm colors, and gotten lots of compliments for how cozy they feel. I think navy curtains sound great, and I’d keep the beige sheets. You can see how Pashima looks deeper depending on light (do a search for lots more examples) — Being a greige tone, it looks good with warm or cool colors. In this light, it takes on a more gray feel: It is fairly monochromatic, I don’t know if you like that (I do), but good for adding in accent colors. I’m not sure what a lighter version on the Pashima color strip might be, but it might be worth looking into if you feel this is too dark....See MorePlease help to pair nightstands and dresser with the bed.
Comments (94)I have wanted a combo of woods and this all works. Thanks for the wall color too. Only other thought is to select chair if you do a chair that isn’t too dark. They tend to catch every piece of lint and dust flying around. I would still lean with blues. Bring some Gray in from bathroom for rug. I also assume you can personalize it with some of your dad’s fav things or pictures. You could do a grouping of pictures around TV on wall. Some version of this. From 4 to more pictures. Ones that make your Dad happy every time he sees them....See MoreVal B
