Breakfast Time on Tuesday!
Comments (6)Sue, I sure wish I had your energy. I just rolled out of bed at 8:00 and having coffee and catching up here. I will have a protein shake for breakfast. Went out for lunch and dinner yesterday so need to be careful today. My plans for the day are to do some cleaning which I have been putting off. Have a wonderful day. ps--hope your hubby is doing ok....See MoreSupper Time on Tuesday!
Comments (16)Today is my and hubby's 36th Wedding Anniversary. We ordered takeout from one of the local town diners.. I had the blueberry pancakes with a cup of tea, and hubby got the French toast, eggs and bacon.. Sometimes we just love having good ole breakfast food for dinner.....See MoreSupper Time on Tuesday!
Comments (19)My husband came home this afternoon to move a big winch that he had sold. He borrowed a trailer to haul it on, and it was a wreck....most of the bed rotted out or missing. Had four tires....but one of those was missing. The winch weighed about 1000 lb....big like for a Gulf shrimp boat. He managed to get it loaded and then bottomed out trying to drive out. I pulled him out with my truck and then when he went over the wooden culvert at the front gate, pulled some of that up too and it got stuck under the trailer. I say all this to say that it makes me a nervous wreck to help him because he doesn't know the word "stop" and he takes too many chances. Then I had to follow him with my flashers on because the trailer had no tail lights. Once he got it unloaded, had to follow him back to where he had picked up the trailer. It was well past dark by then. He went back to his boat to go shrimping in the morning and I came on home. I stopped at Sonic and got a double meat hamburger for me and one with just meat and bread, for Gertie, my dog, that rode along with me....See MoreTime for tea??? It is Tuesday I think.
Comments (27)"it is the little things some times that give us the most pleasure. So glad your door is fixed. It has been this way a long time." yes shades, it is so often those little things... like a door handle that works! it stopped working back in the summer - I came out of CFA with a sandwich and it wouldn't open! there I was in the AZ heat! until now, when I went in somewhere, I left the door ajar enough that it didn't 'catch' and lock me out. I always wondered if someone would come by and think 'oh, look someone didn't get their door shut... I'd better shut it tight for them...' I always moved the front seat back all the way so that if they did I 'd have room to crawl over that seat again and open from the inside. yesterday was thrilling - no crawling over the seat, no moving the seat back when I left the car or leaving the door a bit open... it certainly makes doing an errand, going to the grocery a lot easier. having a door that opens with a handle sure can spoil a person - lol! be careful out there with all that snow! I bet your roof would be just fine without you getting the snow off - but, I'd be like you too and worry it'd cave in. it's not something I could physically do - part of the reason I moved to AZ years ago was to get away from the snow - I needed the warmer (and dry) weather too. it's good that you do a little at a time and then rest a spell and get warm before doing more of it....See More- 7 years ago
