Huge Blank TV Wall Needs Help!
Comments (9)You could start off with doing some wall paneling, maybe barnwood? Providing you with the natural character of wood without getting into something large, such as an entertainment center. The variation of barnwood alone will give you some nice variation. Just enough to go behind and around the TV. Then perhaps some sconzes on the sides? The picture I have attached is an example in our showroom....See MoreHuge wall=blank canvas
Comments (10)Love that room! Agree the couch should move out to flank the fireplace, ideally with a matching couch or couple of chairs opposite it with a large coffee table or big ottoman between them. On the large wall consider adding a low bookcase or buffet/sideboard, something that isn't too big and compliments the corner cabinet to help orient the center of the space. Then you can add some art above the buffet, one big piece or several smaller ones depending on your sister's taste to fill out the wall space. Here's a couple of pics I had in my ideabooks as examples of the furniture....See MoreHelp with our huge blank wall
Comments (2)Depends on the art work. You could do 3 that work together or one really huge piece get a proper bench not that trunk looking thing a nice narrow long console table ofr that long wall with the art above it...See MoreHow would you decorate this blank space above the toilet?
Comments (61)Gcubed ~ The light does shine whiter in person, so it may be the camera lighting that makes it appear yellowish. Mistakes were made and lessons learned for sure. The tile may be out of vogue, but I do love the colors and opalescence of it. In person, it goes really well with the cabinet color and sparks joy (to me). :) But then there is the major balance issue that can't be overlooked. As several of you pointed out, the mirror isn't working here and the area above the toilet needs *something*. Also possibly a different wall color to provide contrast and balance as well. Fortunately, these fixes can be done relatively inexpensively. Thanks again to all of you for your input!...See Moree weam
