Ticor vs Mr Direct stainless steel sink
Comments (6)Hey, I didn't think model numbers were important same size/ type sink and all, but here they are: Ticor S405 $170(with grid and strainer - basket or regular), Mr Direct 2421D $110 (with grid and regular strainer). Both prices include shipping. Also, I haven't compared with Franke, Blanco etc. but I was hoping others had. Now I have to go look at those. Dag-nabit! Still between the cheaper online sinks, my review, although subjective, was done as objectively as subjective can be. Eh?...See Morestainless steel sink recomm
Comments (25)Summersucks, you are right, the clear finishes like I've seen on the Franke stainless sinks show the scratches more. But still, all stainless steel sinks scratch. The brushed finish sinks' scratches won't be as glaring, but they will be there. I have a brushed finish on my stainless sink, and I just let the scratches multiply (after my initial freak-out at seeing the first one) and blend into a patina, per the advice on this forum. I don't really see the scratches now. Though I do see the endless water marks, darn them....See Morewanted---pics of stainless steel farmhouse sink
Comments (14)I wrote this in the other post (rmkitchen updates) so I'm just copying it over here gglks -- the paint is Aura (Benjamin Moore) Frappe, AF-85. I have to say I haven't noticed any fingerprints on the sink ... but there are water spots (inside and on the rim). But of course, those just wipe right up with a sponge (when I'm so inclined, ha ha!) I'm not a belt-wearer but my husband is, but we also haven't noticed any scratching on the outside of the sink. I just went and double-checked: no fingerprints, no scratches. There are some scratches on the bottom of the (interior of) the sink and, as I wrote, water spots, but other than that, nothing. And I only noticed the scratches because I was just now really looking for blemishes. The sink is Bates and Bates Farmhouse 12 Gauge Satin Stainless Sink....See MoreStainless steel sink from "Create Good Sinks"...any opinions?
Comments (5)I have the 26" ledge sink from them and really like it. It is nice and deep and I like the offset drain and the fact that thx drain doesn't have that ring around it. I ordered the cutting board and the colander for mine. They are really helpful on the phone if you have questions....See Morearcy_gw
