Home Insurance Question

Today is the first time I noticed that our home insurance policy says "Built: 1957".

In 1999 we bought a home built in 1957, thinking we'd remodel it. Instead, we removed everything but the foundation, chimney and one stall of the two-car garage and built new. We moved in in the fall of 2001. At the time, this was not a 'teardown' in our city's parlance, but today it would be one. The assessor's office still lists the property as built 1957, but the construction (masonry) and square footage are based on the (larger) new house.

Does this need correction?
