I'm not sure what your style is but just based upon appeal of fixtures and dramatic effect I like Metal Lace fixture.

I'm not sure what my style is, either! :) We kind of make it up as we go along, so I'm going to say transitional, mostly casual, comfortable, and family-friendly. Oops, that's not really a style, is it? Thanks for your input. I like the metal lace ones too, they give a slight feeling of being on an an exotic vacation, and that's cool.

Karen, I think that's a perfectly good description of a style! Comfortable casual! Which easily translates into transitional. :)

But since you can close the door to a powder room, you don't really have to worry about it fitting in with the look of the other rooms. You can really go all out! Since you really like the metal lace pendants, go for them!

I really like the glass vial and the metal lace.

Keep in mind

• Metal lace will cast funky shadows
• Glass vial and any clear glass will show the bulb. I tend to look for fixtures that the bulb is not visible. This way I dont have to think about if the bulb is pretty or not.

I really dislike the Tech Lighting one that you posted a link for. It reminds me of a surgical glove inflated and with the thumb removed. Apologies in advance if this is now the only thing you can think of when you see this fixture.

Are you sure about the Tresham toilet? The ridges on the tank and base will all be dust/grime collectors.

That toilet says traditional to me. I agree with localeater about the ridges being grime collectors.

Thanks, the other toilet option is the Toto Eco Soiree, which is more neutral looking, and also fits the toilet nook space well (I'm going for a short front-to-back distance)

I don't think the vertical lines on the Tresham will be difficult, but that base detail might be a hassle. Good points! I looked at Memoirs Stately too, but it has the same trim detail and it's a couple hundred more that I could spend elsewhere in the room.

To me the more modern one is either a hand (unappealing) or tree branches (appealing). It's probably a long shot.

Pendants are tricking in bathrooms, exposed bulbs can end up being right in your eye line, and Edison bulbs are not the best light producers. Any cut pattern will be spread onto your face, unless this is secondary lighting. I would choose a frosted glass of some sort. Also you have low ceilings so you will not have that much of a hang to the pendant lights once you add the glass you will probably only have 12" of cord or rod to hang from.
