What a beautiful table! Love that site - will have to look for ideas for a round or oval table in my eat in kitchen. I like the black chairs in your space and painted chairs would look nice with the table, but since you have black counter chairs right behind the dining table it might be nice to use a different color. I think a wood chair would also look nice if the finish was more matte rather than shiny and polished. I have the RH salvaged wood trestle table in reclaimed pine and used Rachel Ashwell side chairs. I think they're a washed oak or ash and they have linen slips just on the seat. My slipcovered head and foot arm chairs were custom made at Calico Corners, but I've seen similar chairs at other places, like PB, Crate and Barrel and West Elm. The slips on all the chairs are really easy to wash and protect the upholstery underneath. I like the light contrast against the wood. I agree the brown chairs are too much brown. Of the chairs you show, I like either the orange or blue (based on whatever your color scheme is) and the slight tufting adds some interest. The sea-green chair has too much tufting going on for such a simple table. Actually, the maroon chairs aren't bad, but, doesn't give much contrast to the brown table, IMO, but would work fine. If they are RED, then that's a better contrast. Have you checked the inside leg dimension on the table to ensure any of the optional chairs will fit with enough comfort space (elbow room) for the sitters if you are putting 2 chairs per side? This may help with your decision.

We did end up buying the rectangular version of the table and have been very happy so far. The wood is distressed enough that it hides scratches much better than our old Room and Board table we replaced. We haven’t put it to the test of a holiday meal yet, though! One great thing I realized anout it after they delivered the table is it would be easy to replace the tabletop and keep the base. While I have no immediate plans to do so, I could see at some point down the road finding a woodworker to craft a new top and keep the gorgeous metal base.
