Which dining chairs go with this square dining table, cant decide

Hi, I am trying to decide which chairs would go with the below table (its square, 56x56):

I dont like the all brown look of chairs / benches in the picture above and was thinking of adding color like below:

I have had leather dining chairs for the past 10 yrs, would like to go towards fabric (not sure how they hold up, have not had experience with upholstered chairs). Though I did like these red leather chairs:

I was thinking of adding 4 chairs as shown in the pic and either two benches on either side as shown in the pic or a single chair on either side (not sure yet). Once I have the chairs decided, will search for benches.

I agree the brown chairs are too much brown. Of the chairs you show, I like either the orange or blue (based on whatever your color scheme is) and the slight tufting adds some interest. The sea-green chair has too much tufting going on for such a simple table. Actually, the maroon chairs aren't bad, but, doesn't give much contrast to the brown table, IMO, but would work fine. If they are RED, then that's a better contrast.

Have you checked the inside leg dimension on the table to ensure any of the optional chairs will fit with enough comfort space (elbow room) for the sitters if you are putting 2 chairs per side? This may help with your decision.

Thanks!!, I was leaning towards the orange too, I was thinking of a warmer color dining room. I havent checked the inside leg dimension on the table, will definitely check that out, i didnt think about elbow room. I was thinking from the point of view of legs, whether there would be enough space under the table, without peoples legs being hit, if I put two chairs on each side :).

The table has a really muscular right-angled solidity to it. It’s wonderful... but I think that means you need some color and curves with the chairs! Judy’s suggestion seems to me like it matches too much with the table and doesn’t jnfuse life. I think the red west elm suggestion is a great one. I do too. you could do a settee along the smaller window if you like. I like the built ins because it looks good, saves a bit of space and you can squeeze in another person if need be. If you hinge the tops, you can also pick up some extra storage. as for the table, similar pedestal tables like that can get expensive. 2K + . this one is 4K. what I've done in the past is look for one of those vintage oak round tables (some have the ball and claw feet) that were so popular 60 years ago. You can refinish the top, paint the bottom portion w/chalk paint. easy to do. I actually found on on craigslist for $15. sanded and stain the top w/walnut stain, did th bottom in black paint. it looked brand new. I used it in a nook, built in dining space in a house we flipped. or, go for the 70's-90's copy of the old ones. these you can also paint/stain, and they come w/a leaf. get some new chairs to go w/it can you husband build or DIY? https://honeybuilthome.com/diy-70-round-dining-table/

You can do square backs, but not those because they are too MCM for the table. Pair table and chairs with a tone on tone jute and a black border, for instance.

@Patricia do you mean arm chair in the living room or in the dining area? we definitely don’t have space at the table. The blue arm chairs are the recliners going in the living room. They are quite small. Apparently they are mostly sold to people with RVs. I don’t have a colour theme anywhere in the house. Its a small bungalow and this is our main living area with my dining room being used as an office and our bedroom (navy/grey/white) being the only other room on the main floor.
