Another Hot Day In Indiana!
Comments (2)It's 88 here, with only 63% humidity tho; and I have eggplant parmesan baking in the oven - toaster oven that is. Too hot to fire up the big stove oven. So far it's comfortable in my house with the fans going, but wouldn't you know I had to drive downtown for some mozzarella cheese awhile ago and that heated me up some. Thank goodness for air conditioning in the car at least! Sweet corn sounds good. I'm waiting for my variety,it's called "Incredible". Should be ready at the produce stands in a week or so....See MoreHot humid Friday Flowers
Comments (10)Of to the Races, Forever Rosemary, and Crown of Creation are my top 3. I do like the double with what looks to be a pastel cantaloupe color and some texture to the petals. If it had great substance and was colorfast it would be a really nice addition to the doubles catagory......Maryl...See MoreThis and That and its hot and humid again
Comments (15)It was 97 at noon today with more to come until Tues/Wednesday when we drop down to the high 80's (Similar to your forecast Julia). I am so sick of the heat and humidity. I was out deadheading the roses last night and cussing them for having bloomed so much....I've still got reblooms on a few daylilies. Indian Ripple, Pink Aloha and a new one this year, Sweeten Creek (note to Debra). When the temperature finally drops the gardeners around here call it "pansy season". That's what I'm looking forward to most right now-Pansy weather...............Maryl - P.S. Monday they say will be in the 105-106 range. Ugh!...See MoreWednesday blooms - another cool and dewy morning
Comments (12)Thanks Julia for the update on Fire on the Mountain. When we have 84 for a noon day temperature the weather people call it a "cold front", although the last week has been humid as heck, our temperatures have only been in the high 80's for the most part. We just had over 3 inches of rain over the week-end. The heat returns tomorrow.......I bought a new to me daylily based on your picture last year. When it opens (it has buds) I'll let you know how it does.............Maryl...See Moreceleste/NH
