From yesterday and a few leftovers from Tuesday

I didn't get out yesterday, just way too tired and achy. I did ask Janelle to get a couple; when I went to PT today I noticed several that had bloomed for the first time yesterday. We will hopefully get those today.

Rob Cobb is good and tall in the back row.

Sugar Magnolia. Debra, it has finally hit its stride. You can't tell from this picture, but it is nice and tall. From my window I could clearly make it out among all the others.

Santorini Sunset. Can't recall if I posted it. Tried and failed many times on Tuesday. Too short.

This is a photo using my telephoto lens through the window. You can see Sugar Magnolia standing out. Castle Pinkney is the other tall one on the left.

Egyptian Ibis looking good

Fully Grown more purple than usual.

That's all for now. Much better posting experience than Tuesday.

Nice group, Brad! I really like your long distance photo, the lighting is pretty interesting. The photo makes it easy to see the height comparison.

Mantis. funny thing about my camera,when I was trying to take pictures the day before these was took, the camera wouldn't work after a couple photos it wouls quit. then after a hour or so, try again and it would work again. it stopped working one time while I was taking these, and I took the batteries out and just put them back in and it started working again.I have no idea whats wrong with it, but, today,I took a bunch of pictures again and it worked perfect every time. Beautiful Edgings is beautiful :) Mine usually does that lower sepal sticking out too, but it doesn't bother me like with other daylilies. Debra, you are lucky! My DH says that they didn't know what an earwig was just a few years ago. They are nasty looking creatures. Marric there was a thread here on GW actually titled How to get rid of earwigs, IIRC. Maybe you can find it. I livehead once in a while, did regularly last year, and frankly I didn't notice much difference. They are not only in the flower they are at the base between the leaves too. Spoiled too many of my pictures. It would be interesting to see that Eyeliner lily when she applies her makeup

I love RUBY SPIDER, always have & always will, even when fancier daylilies come along. I like your red No ID too and I also have a red No ID that I've had for years and it is one of my best bloomers. As usual, your daylilies are ahead of mine. My American Freedom, Cat Dancer and Siloam Show Girl have buds but none have opened yet. I also like that Yellow Titan. I have a special place in my heart for the really BIG blooms and it looks great. Celeste

Wow, they all look good! I hope my baby will look as nice as your Climax one day. I have Irish Luck in a very sunny place and it looks much lighter than yours. But I also like the dark green and if I divide it I will try one piece in the shadow.

That picture of Joan Senior really captures the texture. Pinched Fingers is a very attractive one; you will like it! Indian Giver remains a popular daylily despite its very politically incorrect name.

Glad you posted the Sugar Magnolia pic rising above the others. Looks like it has many more buds to open too. Nice group of pics.

Sugar Magnolia is quite pretty.Pinched Fingers is also very pretty. Joan Senior is a very nice white one. I learned to alue it highly.

Joan Senior is the only white I've kept in my garden. It is such a nice daylily and a good one to compare other so called whites with. A couple of years ago it repeated for me twice. Never had that happen before or since.......I too like your Telephoto lens picture. The blurriness of it makes it look almost like an impressionist painting..........Maryl
