Neutral beige to tone down cherry (orange) - toned floors
Comments (5)I didn't get any other responses, but wanted to post what I went with. I tried Kelly Moore Navajo White (because we have that in my home and I really like it). Looked so blah in the rental house! I think it looked like what you'd find to color a wall near the side of a busy street or freeway that covers graffiti. I went with Benjamin Moore in Himalayan Trek. It was much darker than I would have guessed I would like, but it turned out to be a "real", though neutral, color. I was very pleased with how it turned out and don't even "pay attention" to the color of the floor....See MoreLooking for a yellow toned neutral ++
Comments (27)Did you try SW Believable Buff? I have this color in most of my house. It is a NEUTRAL color with a Yellow undertone. It is not a cream color. It is definitely not peachy. It is not too dark or too light. Its Light Reflectance Value is 59. I love this color and is one of those that you do not get sick and tired of it. It is also a color that is easy to combine with many other colors, like I have a green wall in my kitchen and a blue-grayish in my foyer (SW breezy). I have white trims, base and doors and mostly dark wood furniture and looks great with both. Good luck finding the color....See MoreHelp tone down the "cool" tones & improve flow with warm kitchen
Comments (62)So, just a quick update. Still waiting on the rug & pillows to arrive. In the meantime a World Market *just* opened up near us and they had cinnamon pillows! I also found a funky wooden "tray" that I liked. Do the old pilllows go? Or do I need to find something else to tie it in? Also, thinking of hitting West Elm tomorrow. Browsing their website I found this cluster of vases I like - might put these on the console. Maybe the mantle? I need something warm on the TV console too.. I also found these blue ones, don't think I like them as much. They also had some cherry wood ones, but I think if I redo the large framed artwork I won't need them up there. Maybe use these for the TV console? Or keep looking? Also saw this chair at World Market that I like, but I'm going to wait until the carpet comes in. It's getting there!...See MoreWarm tone leather in cool tone living room?
Comments (13)What a lovely space and I believe even more so that a grey chair will be a good choice; it will work with wall color, fireplace surround and island...all the while, keeping room light. Below is the feeling I would recommend (although your couch is not grey) It looks like you have lots of room and from your chair example, seems like you want a comfy chair. Consider a chair and a half and one below comes in 15 colors (imagine it with a cashmere throw or a cushion and a great rug) https://www.jossandmain.com/furniture/pdp/montecito-chair-and-a-half-j000210724.html?piid=1727035703%2C1727036084%2C1727035961...See Morebeckysharp Reinstate SW Unconditionally
