BM Bone. Not dark or dull, cheerful in daylight and warm and inviting at night with sufficient contrast to soft white trim. No pink, orange or green casts in my light. Linen white, similar yellow undertones, is much lighter but still contrasts with trim.

BM Philadelphia Cream. Can't say enough good things about it! We have it in our open kitchen/family room, and it changes from a cream to a yellow during the day and night. It has just enough color to look like a "color" on the walls.

BM Dunmore Cream. I used it in my last home and loved it - will be using it in my new home as well.

BM Pittsfield Buff - warm, yet still neutral. No obvious undertones.

I am doing now BM Putnam Ivory. It is fabulous with SW Moon mist trim!

A second vote for BM Pittsfield Buff. You might also look at SW Ivoire.

I've got it!! BM Waterbury Cream. I have had it for several years in my living room. It is exactly a yellow toned neutral. Good luck.

I have used Pittsfield buff & waterbury cream!! Both are good colors.
Now I have Bm Wilmington tan in this house - here is a pic for ya. Ignore lamp that needs shade:)

I just painted my hallway and foyer BM Powell Buff. I first was drawn to Monroe Bisque but was leaning toward a green undertone. I wanted a more yellow/gold and chose the Powell Buff. It's supposed to be the warn version of Monroe Bisque.

When I sampled them next to each other I couldn't tell much of a difference at first.

SW Believable Buff is a pretty yellow toned neutral. I have it in most of my rooms and just love it.

I like Sherwin Williams Ramie. It reads neutral with just that warm hint of yellow.

Inspiredroomdesign: Just curious about the Ramie----would it go with a soft blue bedding that I have in my master? Would you have a picture of the room you painted Ramie? So to hijack this thread. Have been looking for a nice neutral with a gold hue. Thanks

Here is BM's Rich Creme. Nice, soft yellow tint. They sell this color in the little sample pots.

Just painted a bedroom SW Cottage Cream...it's growing on me. It is yellow for sure but somewhat soft. You might consider it. Yellows can be sooooooo hard.

I have BM Crown Point Sand in my kichen. It's a very close match to SW Raimie. I love it.....a great neutral!

We just painted our hall today BM Almond Bisque. It's a very soft yellow beige, I absolutely love it. I'll try to post a picture of it tomorrow when we put a second coat.

Sherwin Williams' "Ivoire" is nice. As usual, the color chip is misleading. The chip looks beige-ish, but its not. It definitely has a very subtle yellow hue. We carried it throughout much of our home, using SW Navaho White for the trim. Purchasing a sample jar is the best route to go.

I have Sherwin Williams 'Indian White' in my living room. Fabulous color, light with a hint of yellow, just the shade of fresh new butter. Looks peachy on the chip but it isn't.

Another suggestion - SW Sundew (number 7688). This is what I have purchased for my MBR and bath, but I haven't painted yet so no pics. Someone I know has it in their whole house (that's how I picked it; I took some of my bedding and some accesories over to her house :) ). In certian lights it has a yellow tone to it, and according to the SW Color Visualizer, it is in the Yellow family.

Thanks for all your suggestions, I don'tknow what is wrong with my stupid kitchen. Every color seems to go peachy ( Putnam Ivory ) green ( monroe bisque ) or it is too dark. I've tried many more colors than Putnam and Monroe Bisque. Ihave sample pots hid everywhere, as well as those big chips.

But you know, it's a relief to visit here since everyone is so helpful and I realize that there are orthers who are having trouble choosing colors.

I guess sample pots and big chips exist for a reason. LOL

Mailynn I can totally relate! When I was trying to pick out a color for my living room I must have had 20 paint samples on the wall. Most of them kept coming out too yellow, and all I wanted was just a hint of yellow! A friend recommended the Dunmore Cream and I was hesitant b/c the color didn't look right on the swatch and they don't sell that color in the sample pots, but I went ahead and got a pint, and it was perfect. I have heard good things about the Powell Bluff also. Good luck!

I have this color in most of my house.
It is a NEUTRAL color with a Yellow undertone.

It is not a cream color. It is definitely not peachy. It is not too dark or too light. Its Light Reflectance Value is 59.
I love this color and is one of those that you do not get sick and tired of it. It is also a color that is easy to combine with many other colors, like I have a green wall in my kitchen and a blue-grayish in my foyer (SW breezy).
I have white trims, base and doors and mostly dark wood furniture and looks great with both.

Good luck finding the color.

I had the same problem with the colors having a peach or green undertone or just being too dark.

I finally mixed my own! I just took SW Cottage Cream and had them mix it at 125% to deepen the color. PERFECT!
In some light it's beige and in others a yellow-beige, sometimes golden yellow-beige...hahaha

I love it.

Have you looked at the old duron formula for Tobacco road. It is a very popular neutral, but may be too dark for you. It is darker than most of the shades mentioned above, but is really nice. I was going to use it, but I was looking for a neutral w/ no yellow undertones, so it did not work. SW can match it for you.

FR is Ivorie, Master Bath is Ivorie, Foyer is Ivorie. DR is restrained gold....back hallway & laundry room are blonde & master bedroom is mannered gold.
