I think your paint looks lovely but the paint needs to dry. It seems still wet. Below is BM gray owl with a tint of blue. Grey is tricky as it depends on the light. So any recommendations would be irrelevant as they will depend on the light in your room.

It’s definitely not dark but it doesn’t look too light at all. Looks nice on my screen. Maybe wait a day or two to decide?

I think a little boy needs more color in his room. Children like color. That said, the color you painted it looks ok to me, as long as you use a lot of colorful accessories.

Find something of the shade of grey you wanted, and take it to the paint store and ask them to match it. Cool greys can be very unpleasant to live with, look like cement. I got a nice effect once by painting a room dove grey with white trim and a delicate pale birds-egg blue ceiling. Maybe that approach could take advantage of reflected light to give you the effect you want. Good luck!

Obviously, it depends on the light in your room, but I used BM Marilyn’s Dress in a spare bedroom and it is a light lavender.

As stated, grays are tricky. Careful, you might end up w a violet tinged effect with some grays. What you have looks good to me.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I have let it be but the contrast is still bothering me -- on the walls it reads a very bright blue that fights with the tones in the carpets. Any thoughts on other colors to sample?
