Debra, I am so impressed with all your seedlings this year. I would be doing happy dances every day if they were mine!! And I am sure many of them make your heart sing. Just beautiful!! Now for those “other” lilies, I really like Sweet Prairie Wind and Cary Grant!! What a fun beautiful year you are having.

I'll second that about the seedlings. Just a lovely bunch. Lillian's Thin Ice is a show stopper. I love the watermark on Sweet Prairie Wind (I have those hybridizing tags too but mine are pink this year). Lydia's Regal Robe looks like a rich color. We have that but haven't seen it bloom yet. Cary Grant is my other pick today. I love a red with a watermark!

Those bed shots are gorgeous weeds or not. Grape Twizzler is so stunning. I love"really like "Leonard" Blue Eclipse is a pretty thing. Two sues and Sweet Prairie Wind are both striking. But the red seedlings and Henry Lorrain X Symphony of Praise are just the queens.

Wow, Lillian's Thin Ice is so beautiful. Is it the whitest you have? I think i need to put it on my list. I always enjoy seeing your Cary Grant. I hope many of these seedlings succeed. They are very pretty.

Brad - Lillian's Thin Ice is not my whitest daylily - just one of the curliest. Heavenly Snow White is my whitest UF, and Winter Treasure is my whitest full form.

I adore your Blazing Saddles seedling, great color and form. Every time I see Two Sues I like it more. Lillian’s Thin Ice and Sweet Prairie Wind are putting on a great show this season.

My number one surprised me - well not really. It's Sugar Magnolia. What a pretty lavender pink. In that vein Your seedling Henry'sxSymphony is another one I really like. A lovely shade of pink. I keep thinking I have too many pinks and then even more "lookers" come along.....Cary Grant interests me. What color is it in person? Red?............Maryl

I really like Lillians thin Ice. Sugar Magnolia is paler in my garden, but 1st year so maybe it is still settling in. Sweet Prairie Wind and Cary Hrant caught my eye, I don't really have lots of reds, so maybe that is why. Nice clump of Two Sue's! I absolutely love Leonard! The Tribble with Blue has such a clean, crisp look.

Kay and Maryl - Henry Lorrain X Symphony of Praise looks a brighter pink in the sun than it really is. Here's today's photo of is in the shade. This is more accurate as to color. It's kind of a lavender rose wine blend.

Kate, Hoosier Nan, Brad, Maryl and Nancy 6b - Cary Grant is a dark raspberry red with a pinkish watermark. My photos usually make it look a brighter red than it really is. It's very striking in person and holds its color well in the sun. The petals look velvety.

Nancy 6B - My Sugar Magnolia grows in part shade and was photographed in the shade. That may be why it looks darker than yours. I need to get it out of the shade because it doesn't get enough sun to grow tall anymore.

This post is so filled with ravishing blooms that I have come back to look at it several times. There is so much beauty here and literally every single daylily you posted I love. Of course, I will pick Lillian's Thin Ice as #1 literally every single time, especially posing like it is with 14 blooms open at once and looking dazzling. WOW. Just when I thought it couldn't look any more appealing.....it did. But all the others are special, and I went through them over and over, enjoying them immensely. Each one would be a favorite if they weren't competing against each other! I love them all. And your seedlings are gorgeous. My top 3 are Leonard (he's tall, dark and handsome), the pink one (so perfect) and the Blazing Saddles seedling (amazing). I am sure I will be taking a peek at this post again!:)

Leonard has a lot of hybridizing potential with that saturation. I also like the Blazing Saddles seedling. Lydia's Regal Robe had low bud count here last year. I wonder what you are getting. Two Sues looks very good here in the morning, but yesterday afternoon after full sun, it showed effects when most others did not.

I wonder how Heavenly Snow White compares with Stardust Dragon. Maybe Kate can comment. I suspect that Snow White is whiter, but Stardust Dragon is better budded.

Mantis - How does Heavenly Snow White compare with Stardust? Well, Stardust died here - twice. Snow White lives despite the poison apple. There is no comparison, in my opinion. Snow White has 11-15 buds this year. As you know most of my bud counts are low because of the May drought. I would expect much higher bud counts had I not been out of commission and unable to water during the dry spell. Once I got Snow White out of the pot last fall, she multiplied rapidly. I think it's going to be a great plant here. Lydia's Rega; Robe was planted in late fall, and it's not in the best spot. It's short and bud counts are only 7-8 this first year. But the color on the bloom - wow! It just gets better the longer the sun shines on it.
