Comments (5)MMMMMM garlic and butter----mmmm, on the grill. So delicious. Well, he WAS hungry, contrary to his protestions of not being hungry. I'll bet he got VERY hungry the minute he smelled the grill, the butter, the garlic and, perhaps, the shrimp. I sure would. It'd make me famished. Not to diminish your culinary skills at all, but other than overcooking---how could you screw up garlic, butter, shrimp? On second thought, I could screw it up in the wink of an eye. I would/could get preoccupied in some meaningless thing in 30 seconds and mess up these marvelous ingredients. Maybe that's why I cook less and less and my family says...........See MoreWhat Goodies Are You Eating Today
Comments (10)Just had beef raviolis with pasta sauce & parm. cheese for a late lunch. They were frozen, but really good tasting. Doubt if I could do any better from scratch. Also had three fresh apricots from the tree I planted about a year & a half ago. Went out yesterday & bought two more apricot trees from the nursery, & am in the midst of planting those now. I love apricots, but have been disappointed with those purchased from farmer's markets or fruit stands until I found the Royal Blenheim. All others are second or third rate to that species, but it doesn't travel well, hence difficult or even impossible to purchase on the market....See MoreWhat did you (or will you) have for your favorite meal today?
Comments (13)Ancient grain oatmeal from Trader Joe's was my best meal so far. I woke up late today, in the afternoon. Now I'm eating lunch: Sonic jr. cheeseburger, which isn't great. I have some chicken thighs thawing in the fridge and bought some green beans and new red potatoes yesterday at a farmer's market when me and my daughter were running all over town. I mainly went for their peaches, which are usually wonderful, this time they weren't quite ripe. Didn't feel like thawing the chicken in the microwave and cooking the veggies. But am thinking of tossing this awful burger and just eating a peach. Anyway, going to make some of the green beans later with potatoes and onions. Will eat a little for a late night dinner tonight. Tomorrow I'll bake the chicken to go with the rest....See MoreWhat good foods did you or will you have today?
Comments (34)I forgot the name of it, but my daughter made something they ate in Peru. It was a layer of mashed potato, then a layer of onion, pepper, peas, carrots and mayonnaise. Layer of sliced boiled eggs, layer of sliced tomatoes and another layer of mashed potatoes. They usually also put some tuna salad or chicken in the middle, but my husband is vegetarian, so skipped that. I was a bit worried about eating cold mashed potatoes, but it was actually really good. Their version of fancy potato salad I suppose....See More- 7 years ago
