Got half the house cleaned and even though I hadn't planned on cleaning the kitchen and living room until after the painter leaves today... I still had hoped to get things more picked up. Spent way too much time on the computer.

Whew! I've done more the past two days than I've done in a very long time!

I got ready early this morning and met friends at the local café for breakfast. We sat there a couple of hours eating, drinking coffee and having fun. Then I came home and cleaned the kitchen and did some laundry. After lunch I swept off the front porch. Then I went to town and bought a few potted plants, re-potted them and swept the porch again. It was 90° and I really got hot and tired! I am happy to get that done. I've been resting in the recliner the past hour. :o)

Later I plan to embroidery my name on a tote bag that I bought for my laptop. I may add a pocket inside it to hold the charger and a flash drive.

It's been a great day.

Oh yeah,, took a dog to the vet, we paid the taxes, which I despise getting rid of that much money, went to Walmart, got gas, and can't remember what else. I took a nap!

I have to admit it. I didn't get up until quarter to seven! Even our Westie was sleeping in. (Maybe the almost-full moon's light kept us up too late?) Took a bath. (Where did these dry, scaly legs come from -- and they're so skinny!)

I called the hospital billing department to straighten out charges on a PET scan; sadly, they ARE all mine. Mail came, saying Medicare has picked up the entire hospital bill (over $1200) for my sinus CT. 2009 is shaping up to be another impossibly expensive year for medical bills so that's a bit of bright news.

I went to a nearby shopping center with DH and got grocieries while he had his hair cut. (He is still a handsome devil with a fresh haircut!) I brought home a Boston Cream Cake, one of my favorites.

We turned in applications for car and dog licenses at City Hall. I was leary of doing it online this year and charging it after all the noise about computer worms. I don't bank online for the same reason.

Home in time for tea and an episode of "The Commander", a five-year-old British TV series on DVD -- written by the creator of "Prime Suspect". We had Prince of Wales and shortbread cookies. Eliot had a dog treat and a nap in my lap.

Now time to rustle up some dinner. Maybe the salmon I just bought. We haven't had fish in weeks.

No, didn't exercise at all, unless you count vacuuming out my car a little bit ago. I did pick up a medication and a few things at Wal-Mart, mailed a bill, and am now making spaghetti I hadn't planned on making. Alex came home early from his father's this afternoon. I thought he would be staying through the weekend. Oh, well...

I have to wash clothes too. Got to work the next three days.

dishes are done and one load of laundry washed, but that's 'bout as far as my day went..had the bills done last night but just didn't make it out...oh and got all the trash together, dh took out when he got home...

i swear there are only 2 of us and i empty 6 wastebaskets...now they're not always full, but still...

I did a few things I had planned to do, the day was very fast and got away from me...maybe tomorrow?

I had a list today and got it all done. First I went to WW. I was worried I might have gained a couple of pounds but I didn't. Then I met with the senior pastor at church to see if the church will reimburse me for my travel expenses to St Louis this week and also when I go there for the surgery. They will, thank goodness. Then I went to the tire store to see if they would get me two hubcaps since I lost two after they checked my brakes a couple of weeks ago. They will have the hubcaps for me in a week or so. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket! Also stopped by Soc Sec to get an income verification that I need for my house refi. Then I spent a lot of money at the grocery store. I also made my hotel reservations for St Louis. That was my day.

Mission(s) accomplished:

-got up, took dogs out, changed bed, put sheets in washer, went to grocery store, went back home, put sheets in dryer

-went to work, on morning break returned a pair of pants and bought lottery tickets

-on lunch took dogs out, made two batches of apple pie filling, folded sheets

-back to work, paid parking ticket on afternoon break

-hair done right after work, plus eyebrows

-dogs out again, grocery store AGAIN so I won't have to go on Saturday (main purpose in the morning was to pick up apples to make filling at lunch) , ran dishwasher while making two apple pies, unloaded dishwasher, did the hand dishes and cleaned up the pastry mess, took the compost out, did a couple of little things in the greenhouse

-waiting to watch movie with son and his girlfriend.

*Btw... I was a little frazzled and took a gulp of egg wash instead of the peach juice I meant to drink. Yuck.

Did some housecleaning, had the Air Conditioner Service Man come in to tune ours up. Laundry tomorrow.

YES! Got DS, DDIL & 4 GKs coming Sat. for the Easter egg hunt (& I'm cooking dinner) & got 8 adults for Easter dinner & I got all my cleaning/prepping stuff on the list done today & even got a bit of tomorrow's done! YAAAAY!
