I'm missing hanging out with my fish buddies. Much more fun than work, even though I love my friends (co-workers) and I find my occupation fulfilling. Fish are quiet and undemanding

I don't have any roses, and will probably not get any either. Rose rosette decease (RRD) is rampant around here. here is another mural picture from earlier this month.

No roses here, so how about a mix of textures .

lgmd, is brunnera a die to the ground kind of perennial or does it have some winter interest? I keep thinking about trying it, but right now, I'd love something more than bare ground all winter. In my zone some stuff even blooms in winter, and very little snow to insulate. It's a tough situation sometimes.

Rob, a statement below from a website on Brunnera.

"This breathtaking perennial for shade has silvery green foliage that is beautiful all season. Sprays of pure blue flowers in mid to late spring add to the show. Makes a great groundcover in the shade. "

Also. Rob, there is a good groundcover Geranium that does not die back in winter. Biocovo is the variety and blooms in pink and white. Pic from my yard below. The pink and white bloom is Biokovo. Late May early June is bloom time.

First stargazer bloom of the year opened yesterday, today 3 are open.

This is the only rosebush I have that the deer haven't killed, although they did get most of the buds this year. I don't know if it will try to bloom again this year or not. This is what it looks like when they don't eat it:

Gino's mom sent me this pic. She was out walking with him yesterday and going by my place on the other side of the street.

He was staring at the building and wanted to cross the street and in to see me. She wouldn't let him, so he did a paw-plant and wouldn't budge.

Aww, don't you just love it when a dog has your heart?!!!
