Comments (45)Have you had the sectional too long for the store to maybe let you swap it out for something else? This type sectional with the built-in cup holders, etc. are likely hard to make work in most rooms. We’ve had a sectional that we’ve LOVED (just regular sofa looking thing in some sort of microfiber) for the past eight years of raising our kids and we’ve loved the fact that we could all pile onto it with their various toys. But we’ve had it in big rooms that could accommodate a huge piece of furniture. If you don’t think that you could swap this out, I absolutely think that you can improve the feel of the room by following the suggestions above. Good luck and report back!...See MoreWhere should I put my bedroom furniture in our new apartment?
Comments (3)I would put the bed under the window; proven you get more restful secure sleep when the bed is on the wall opposite the entry door. If you plan to have TV here, place the wider dresser left of the door and put TV on it. If no TV, then put the dresser in the alcove so the light from the window will help you see yourself in the mirror (hung vertically.) Place the taller dresser on any of the remaining walls that make it convenient for storing folded clothing that you want to access as you're on your way to the bath. Art and window treatments will help flesh out the rest of the room....See MoreIs our new sofa to big?

I agree with RL, that nook would work much better for your dining area, and the larger looking open area where you now have your table, for your living area. I just don't understand stuffing your living room furniture into that small nook. Ok now I'm thinking maybe it is because the TV placement is difficult in the larger area, hopefully maybe someone can come up with a suggestion for that. :)...See MoreMichelle
