The scuffing sounds a bit less labor intensive! :-) Our painters suggested using the wasted paint on some exterior woodwork - doors, louvers etc. Do you think that a high gloss alkyd would be suitable for this purpose, or should we cut our losses?! Comments (1)For the walls, clean ( krud kutter) or some such product made for cleaning paint( so as not to leave a film), do the repairs, wipe the dust off, prime with Fresh Start( you could have the primer tinted toward the finish coat), apply 2 finish coats , done. Comments (1)Clean them! Wash walls with Dirtex and let dry. I would sand the walls with a pole sander to smooth away any sponge marks, dust nibs, etc. If it's already smooth enough for you, prime it with Zinsser 1 2 3 and then two coats of paint. Comments (7)If you sprayed a wet coat, peeling will occur if the paint is disturbed before it adheres to the primer. Spray finishes are more delicate than a brush or roller application since the spray paint is applied without any working pressure. Roller and brush actually work the paint tightly against the primer. I don't think you'll have future problems once the paint is cured....See Morew0lley32
