@funcolors wow, you might be the color angel I’ve been needing as I drive myself crazy with whites! We’re repainting all interior doors and trim (prior owners left 3 trim colors, some doors that don’t match frames, etc), so we’re looking for a nice clean white. we have BM mascarpone in our family room and love it, so had planned to expand that through the open concept downstairs as well as stairway. will simply white read too stark against mascarpone? In some areas it seems to a bit, and in bright areas it doesn’t at all. We want to be consistent through the house (and my husband doesn’t like idea of mascarpone on the doors and trim and wants a truer white) , and have ultra pure white in 2 kid rooms (their choice!), and simply white is a huge improvement over the trim and doors there now, which look almost brown in comparison. Basically my Q is: Will we regret Simply White as too stark against creamy, dreamy mascarpone? Or worse, will they clash or look like we failed in an attempt to match? thanks for any help! :)

Yes, on a Sunday- The drywallers showed up this am to start putting up the sheet-rock.. FLo- waiting on a rendering/drawing for the 2 masterbath towers from the kd. Went to the local little island hardware store that carrys BM paint, brought back a bunch of paint chips to look at in the house for a start.. Because the house is very open, looking for something that I can use in/for kitchen, foyer, Dr & living areas. Jan- we are building on a small island, off of another island, no designers here on this island...I agree with you on the floor issue, I just need to convince dh- about the flow and using wood throughout.

I like these ideas!! The pinkish pavers are staying for a few years. I think after a pressure wash they will be closer to red. I can't change the roof for another few years so that will be staying at least 5 or so years. I am planning on having a very lush landscape. I'm lucky to have a friend in the business! My neighbor across the street has a peach-pink house. It's beautiful, very spanish-style and ornate. I don't want to look like I am trying to copy them, though. The house is like double mine! lol My neighborhood is a mix of different style homes. Mediterranean, key west, spanish, Florida. There's no association or consistency in style on my street, so anything goes here. Many homes with red features - a lot of red roofs and dark red trim. Here's an image I found with a red paver driveway, but the roof tiles are also the same red. Also, I see many beautiful features that really bring this together, like the details around the windows, sills, brackets under the roof over hang. This one is a little older but very nice details. Here's a few brand new homes in my area that I looove and wish I could replicate some how in my own version. I can't even imagine how to make mine like them. Any suggestions? ^This one has a red driveway!

No one can help with colors on the net and what you are doing is like finding a necklace ( shutters) and looking for a dress (your whole exterior) to go with it . Choose the right white and ten choose shutter color it will make your life much easier
