Comments (4)That's what I was thinking Lisa! The package looked in fine shape as if it had just been sitting on a shelf somewhere, same original postage and everything . . .so who knows. Thanks everyone!...See Moredcs floor model package vs thermadore package
Comments (5)With "few exceptions", most of us here in the forum, recommend against "Appliance Packages" (All appliances by the same manufacturer). Why?----No one manufacturer excells at every kitchen appliance, and in many cases they are just "Rebadged units", (Made by another manufacturer) and fancy label put on and perhaps a cosmetic change or two and a BIG Increase in price. Couple Examples: (1) Miele Great Dishwashers and Speed Oven but a number of post related to temp problems with their recent ovens some similar post of their older ovens too. They do not make their own Fridges (Yet) alto there are those that claim the company that makes the Miele Fridges is under "Miele Supervision"---I would have to see that for myself. (2) Electrolux, except for a post (Here and there), Elux ovens are well thought of both performance and reliability wise. Their Fridges were frought with problems earlier, and reading current reviews it is a "Crapshoot" to even buy one now---(about 50-50 as far as Good vs Bad reviews). (3) SZ - Wolf. Many ppl like the SZ fridges alto there are negative reviews too. My big problem here is they use the Whirlpool variable speed compressor (Embraco) as do most manufactures now, and some say the interiors (On some Models) are not as up to date,(Fully Adjustable Shelves) (Led Lighting etc etc) as other fridges costing less. So "I" have a bit of a problem justifying their prices for fridges. Many like the open"Flame Thrower" (22k-23k)burners which Wolf doesn't offer. As far as Wolf Ovens go, one has to search very hard to find "Negative Reviews" on Wolf Ovens. I hope this gives you a bit of a perspective on how "many" of us here on GW relate to "Appliance Packages". Others here, feel free to correct me if you think I missed a point, or I was a "bit off" on any of my above comments. Good luck with your "Pending Choices" HTH's!!!!! Comments (2)Doesn't surprise me at all. I sometimes wonder if these crooked people would put as much energy, ingenuity, smarts and imagination into doing something legitimate, no telling how far they could go. But nooooooo, stealing is so much easier. Did anyone see the video of the UPS and FED X drivers tossing packages over fences and into their trucks? The one who was filmed tossing the large package over a tall fence, it turned out in the pkg was a computer monitor. If course it was broken in the 'fall'. Sad...See MoreHow are your mailed packages doing?
Comments (51)2 more slips in my mailbox for packages that the troll won't deliver today. Grrrrrr. Fed Ex finally delivered my stuff, after almost a week. but at least they delivered it. I had reached the end of my rope after I called them, after they said my address was wrong and that they couldn't deliver. They told me that I COULD NOT VERIFY MY OWN ADDRESS, that the shipper had to do it. And that I could not pick it up myself, at the shippers instructions. So the shipper (JEGs) got an email and even though we agreed that the FedEx driver was likely just overwhelmed and stalling, especially as my address is an actual address, despite what FedEx says, they called me and then called FedEx while I was on the line and pitched a fit, and it was finally delivered today, although violently. Good thing it wasn't fragile. I thought it was SO stupid that I could not go pick it up, especially if these drivers are so overwhelmed. Its not like I don't have to pick up half my mail at the post office myself anyway, might as well make a stop at FedEx too right? UPS, as always, delivering as expected. When I pick up those 2 packages from the post office tomorrow, I do not expect anything else to show up until after Christmas. Most of those things are things for me, so that's fine. I haven't heard anything about the cards/cash I sent, so I do not know if they will get there in time or not. I never hear anything, that is, I usually do not get any sort of acknowledgment, unless I text their mothers and ask if they got it or not....See More- 7 years ago
