Comments (28)Socks -- We have library cards for Maui. However, the library there are stuck 'somewhere back in time'. LOL I found a more current collection of books at the Salvation Army store in Kihei! We are very spoiled with the collection of DVD's at our hometown library. Norar -- We've enjoyed all the "Touch of Frost" episodes -- along with most of the things I see on the Netfix 'menu'. What's new there is old to us. Maybe we'll try Redbox during January and February. All suggestions for our 'tropical teatimes' greatly appreciated!...See MoreNew good series on Netflix???
Comments (26)We are now watching Grace & Frankie and we really enjoy it. I find it to be both different and funny. I resisted when it was first mentioned but I am glad I decided to give it a chance. I enjoyed House of Cards; the first and second seasons were great but the third was less than exciting. I really enjoyed watching the original HOC with was British and first done by the BBC in the late 80s - early 90s. I think I am slow to Netflix but from what I have seen, it's kinda great. We also watched The Paradise which was just OK but we discovered it when we searched for more shows with the actress who is the daughter of Celia in Last Tango, Sarah Lancashire. We found that she was also in Happy Valley which we watched and thought it was very good. Lots and lots of great stuff on Netflix. Have fun and enjoy....See MoreDo you binge watch Netflix series....twice? :)
Comments (17)I never binge watch anything . . . until DD comes home from college, that is (LOL)! Over her Spring break, we bw'd "Big Bang Theory". Now home here and recuperating from her tonsillectomy, we're binge watching "Grace and Frankie" and "Fraser". All of the above, we've bw'd before....See MoreGardening show on Netflix
Comments (13)Love the bbc garden shows! On netflix I watched this one as soon as I saw it recently added. I do like the variety of garden styles. I also watch Love Your Garden. Now that one is amazing! However, a bit unrealistic because these gardens come in at no expense spared & overly packed planting. But the ideas and plans are truly creative and inspiring. They are also making dream gardens for some people/families living through very difficult situations. Sometimes it's almost heartbreaking to watch. I watch Gardeners World with Monty Don and others on youtube weekly. They show so many interesting gardens, tips & tricks each week. Great general information & I've learned about proper ways of planting, pruning & maintenance. That show has been running for like 50 years. Another fun one is Garden Rescue. It's premise is one homeowner (with a budget) picks between 2 custom designs and they then build/plan the garden. This one is more realistic and budget conscience. Now if we could get some North American shows that would be awesome. Maybe ones for the warmer zones & one for the colder zones would be ideal....See More
