Moss Garden figure at the 2006 Chelsea Garden Show
Comments (2)Oh that is terrific T, thanks for the lush green pic on this grim grey day. I wonder what they used for the underlayment of the woman, any ideas? I'd love to try a moss form in my garden...on a much smaller scale of course and probably not a reclining woman (that would freak out the family, LOL!). Amazing to think its only a few days over 6 weeks till Spring is sprung. PIM...See MoreLawn & Garden Show Garden Seminars Feb 20-21 2009
Comments (5)Hi gldnol, Yes should be good seminars. hristie_sw_mo did do online research but some of it's conflicting. And, since she got her plants from me a few seasons ago, she thought it best to ask me directly. *wink* Generally though, I do usually direct people to the Missouri University Extension Agricultural Publications as well as Ohio State University's Home and Garden Publications for any gardening related question. There are many more excellent opportunities to learn at these Sustainable Garden Seminars. Looks like there are over 50 people signed up for many of them so there's good interest out there. Many of them are free if you just call to register. It's always nice to be around other gardeners and I always pick up some tidbits I can use in my own gardening....See MoreToronto Succulent & Cactus Show 2015 - show and garden pictures
Comments (15)@bernard Trust me, I would've taken many more home if I had more space... haha. But also I got there much later so most of the nice ones were already gone I think. Thanks for the link, I wish there's more coming up in Toronto though @nametaken Thanks for the comment, must be nice to have lived so close to a wonderful garden. I did see that tree I think!! I will post some more cool plants/flowers I saw later. The prices were average-high I think, but again probably because I got there late...See MoreRose/garden TV shows
Comments (16)Christykittrell, thank you from me as well. I also have Amazon prime but didn't even think that they would have gardening videos. Just now found quite a few. So glad to learn about this new series on PBS as well. Not yet on our local PBS but we'll keep en eye on it. One of my favorite gardening programs was "A Gardener's Diary" that was shown on HGTV long ago, when there were many gardening shows in those days, alas not any more. In each episode, Erica Glasener visited a different private garden across North America, talking to a host gardener about many interesting ideas and plants, delightfully sharing the passion for gardening with regular folks. It was both educational and enjoyable to watch....See Morebiondanonima (Zone 7a Hudson Valley)
