Comments (14)So what I think remodelfla is REALLY saying is she thinks maybe intersperse with an "accent" of pinot noir or merlot or cabernet or even, if it's in your price range, a little "splash" of REALLY good chateau neuf du pape ... :) And after a few glasses of wine, you won't even notice the price... Comments (1)I agree that running the granite behind the stove would be too dark and take away from the contemporary design. Depending on the stove design, something like a glass panel or SS panel would work better. Also, I think the one upper cabinet looks really odd. Comments (8)^^^^^^What @porkchop_mxk3 z5b_MI said. Exactly. Quartz, which has a high plastic resin content, but pretends to be stone, and does a poor job of it. Corian has no pretence. It’s a plastic counter product, and is marketed as such. It has a nicer tactile ”feel”, and is easily repairable by a pro…which engineered stone (quartz), isn’t.
