Thanks for your help, tropicbreesent. I will repot it with an orchid mix and try just keeping the soil slightly moist, rather than watering deeply and letting it dry completely between waterings. Hopefully this does the trick! (And do you think it is worth it to keep a pebble tray beneath for added humidity in the air?) If anyone else has thoughts, I'd welcome them too! (Including about where I could buy another of these plants!) Thanks again!

I'm near Darwin so mine are outside growing up through trees. They look really nice when you have multiple vines with a thick mass of leaves. So yes, putting more cuttings in the pot is a good idea. But they might want more light than the one in your photo gets. Saw a M. kessleri the other day in a nursery but it looked suspiciously too much like Raphidophora tetrasperma so didn't buy it. This nursery often gets IDs wrong. There's a few photos of some of mine onthis thread.

never heard of M. lechleriana, so had to google :). I have adansonii. here (it's a reliable site with good quality plants) it says that it has bicolor green variegation and very large leaves. it's hard to judge by the pics that he has, but my adansonii (from small cuttings) have kept very small leaves for sev years now, hardly with any perforations. how they grow outside is a diff matter of course, in FL they get very big when they climb up into trees. But they are always plain dark green.
