Some more pics of your living and adjacent rooms would help to see your style and decor. I would loose the coat rack and small entry rug. When you can show more pics and we can help guide better. Best wishes!

I am in the process of decorating that room as well but see the pic of the living room above. Those teal chairs will be gone - navy chairs will be added instead. Need to find an area rug and add art work.

I assume you have a hall closet so get rid of the coat rack, it crowds the space and looks messy. Definitely add a large rug instead of the small one, you'll want to protect those wood floors as much as possible. I think guests to your house would certainly appreciate a bench for putting on shoes. But then a table with storage is good for gloves keys etc. So it's a toss up. Whichever way you go, add a mirror above. It's so handy to check yourself before leaving the house. That's a great looking dog you have. Tell him/her that Brown Dog says hey.

I wouldn't add a mirror above/behind a bench. People will be bumping into it when they sit.

A mirror is great in the entry as mentioned , for a last minute glance. As for colors I would do anything with primary colors, yellow red and or green for your art. Keep us posted on your progress! Best wishes!

A piece of art over the sofa with blue in it would look great. As for the entryway, you might be able to flip where the couch is and make it face the wall. This might help create the feel of an entry. For the table, a mirror can work over it. If you want a bench though, that could work too.
