My vote.......I love the blue island, white counter, white tile kitchen.

I think i'd go ahead and paint the island if you want the blue theme without a doubt. I'd delay the counter and backsplash. It's a kitchen for two counters-island and perimeter....and the blue "fan" theme is not right for the long skinny backsplash. It plays better where it goes higher on a bigger expanse as shown near that hood. You don't have that dimension at all. the dark look and the fan pattern will scrunch the visuals in your strip. Hold off …..search for two counter materials and then the backsplash will fall into place. The blue island will work with the brown counters for the time being anyway. You'll get there...slow down a bit.

I'd go with the blue, the splash of color helps.

Don't hurry on the backsplash. You can function in a kitchen without it. You will appreciate having the time after the rest is done to "envision" that next and final step. I might add that the best tile craftspeople will likely have a busy schedule. You don't want to hire "whoever can jump on it quickly". Be patient for the best decision and the qualified installer. Congrats on the lovely new home.

I vote for white. I think that will flow better with the perimeter and allow the island to stand out.
