I'm pretty good at wiping up water, I usually water the plants at the kitchen sink. He's making it as I type! I'll post a picture when it's all finished and set up. I hope it's not going to be too big. lol. I went to Walmart this morning and bought one of those vinyl coated wire shelves that was in the link above. I'm going to use that for my smaller African Violets. But they are NOT strong enough to put a heavy potted plant on. So I'm glad you suggested a wood shelf! I doubt if he sands the corners, but I don't care, as long as it works, right? Thanks again. :)

At least a dozen years ago, I got a beauty, very similar to yours at Kirkland's. They switch their merchandise around so much that I have never seen one since and the irony of it is, that my housekeeper broke it before we ever got it hung. She was a great human being and I could not fault her. I had it in a bad place and she backed the vacuum cleaner into it pretty hard. Yikes! What a noise. I intended (immediately) go run out and buy another, but I just put it off too long and when I went, they no longer had them. I saw one similar in Penney's ads under mirrors long after I had decided on something else for that area. Try Lighting on the Net, Bellacor, Lamps Plus, the Mirror Lady, Kaboodle and E-Bay although I can tell you, sometimes looking locally at your glass places and furniture shops is more beneficial than searching the Web. A furniture shop in our town has some beautiful mirrors. I have known the owner for many years and she told me once if I ever get ready to replace that venetian mirror that she could get me one cheaper than I could get it on E-Bay, so look around town.

I think I would also move the TV to the 9'3" wall as Barnes Custom Builders suggested. I would then move your couch to the 5'11" wall (pulling it away from the wall so the vent can function). Then, I would flank the chunky chair to the left side of the couch. I would purchase a TV credenza and mount TV above. I would then fill the previous TV location with a credenza with a lamp and a mirror. I would also get a single large piece of artwork for the 11'9" wall. I would get rid of the bent wood chair as you suggested. Here's an option for a rug, credenza, media console, lamp and mirror...
