Comments (17)collenoz....Australia, Pixie Pinnacle, is my favorite dive site! Ideally....I'd like to MOVE to Australia. Natliewhatley....Provo has fabulous hotels AND restaurants! Been to Turks & Caicos twice. Chaka Khan was loudly playing on the beach, last time I was there. Honestly Glenda...if he's REALLY into diving he'd be doing live aboards. Two boat dives a day is NOT enough to travel all THAT way. We get in five dives a day on a yacht....See MoreBirthday decision...
Comments (111)Well, it sounded so very good. Sorry you were disappointed in the overall outcome. My mother’s chocolate cream pie was luscious, but I have no clue what made it that way. I’m with you on the oreo crust being too sweet, but maybe the crust needs to be a butter crust or something more rich. Seems like the last chocolate pie I made was ATK’s version using the all-butter crust....See MoreAnyone been to Turks and Caicos?
Comments (20)I went about 10 years ago. We rented a house overlooking the water. There were a lot of family members and friends on the trip. I think it had like 7 bedrooms, all en suite. The hose was amazing. I thought the snorkeling was great, but it was my first time. I did see a small shark. I got stung by a jellyfish. We chartered a boat and went snorkeling past the reefs in the open water. The water was cold. We saw a large baracuda. We were told there were no sharks by the boat pilot, but at a restaurant that night, another guide told me that was not true and he would take me out and show me some huge tiger and bull sharks the next day (not sure how he would find them?). We were leaving the next AM, so I couldnt take him up on it. That night I read about shark attacks around T and C and decided I wouldnt do anymore open water snorkeling if I ever came back. We took a small flight to another island (I can’t remember the name) and spent the day walking around. We also went to an island that had large iguana. They want to be fed, so bring food if you go! These huge lizards walk right up to you. There was a pirate’s cave on the island too. The beaches were fabulous. We made a lot of our own food, as one friend was a chef. Food at the grocery stores was limited and expensive....See MoreWould you put this in a beachhouse dining room?
Comments (57)Yes. Roatan, Bay Islands off Honduras. We stayed at Anthony's Key Resort for a week. Yes...they took our passports and locked them in a safe. At night guards walked the perimeter of the resort. We were met on the airport landing strip with men carrying small machine guns in camo. :0) We never felt like we were in any danger. My husband got a head cold and missed a lot of the diving. I remember the eel garden, it was my first....seen MANY more since then. The no-see-ems were horrible. On our way back from diving, I fell asleep on my stomach....and got about 200 bites on my back.....while on the transport boat. We had Skin-So-Soft with us...it really works! I thought since we were on a boat.....I didn't need it. I enjoyed that trip. Had to speak Spanish more than usual. Jeannie, a GF, had her sports bra and camera stolen by resort employees. Lock your luggage once you get there. Where are you staying?...See Morerob333 (zone 7b)
