Well, I just spent hours looking at Cambria, Caesarstone and Silestone samples. I think Cambria Torquay looks great on a large sample piece in case you haven't seen a larger sample yet - until today I had only seen photos on line and a small sample. It is on the cool side, though. Cambria Newport is warmer but has only a very subtle pattern. One of your best bets in the Caesarstone line would be Misty Carrera - a friend of mine has it and I love the color, but sometimes I look at it and think the patterning is a little off. I think you might also look at Caesarstone Pebble which like the Misty Carrera comes polished and honed. Although it's gray, it's a warm gray and it looks fabulous with off white cabinets and with dark wood. In the Silestone line you might look at Vortium. I liked the smaller sample of it a lot -but the larger piece not as much.....

I love the rug in there and how it ties in with the baskets, wall, etc., but if it were me I'd still exchange the bedding because it would drive me crazy to see the striped side when the bed is unmade (which it is 99% of the time in my son's room). With the bed made the navy works. I would also exchange the drapes for something lighter, but that's just personal preference; I love lighter window treatments! I'm boring and would probably do white, but think a pattern with coordinating colors could look great too. I love the baseball art in there; it's perfect!

Ooooh, I really like that multi-dot fabric for the Martha Washington chair! Unexpected and dare I say, a little flirty? I understand your misgivings about the solid navy velvet for the pair. That means it's not "the one" - so give it no more thought. It is so tempting to "Wild Chairy" the pair, but it gives me pause. Of all your chairs, I think the Martha Washington would be the best nominee for the treatment. My suggestion is to recover the channel back chair in the solid red first. We know the current fabric isn't right. Even though you've noted the upholstery on your other pieces is worn, at least we know they have the general colors that we want to see. The navy pair even has the small scale print. So, my feeling is that recovering the channel back will give us a good idea of how everything will play together - before we dive into reupholstering the other pieces, whose colors are really very similar to where we're headed. (I know that was a poorly constructed sentence and I hope you get my meaning.)
