The yard was professionally landscaped two years ago (not the area with the pots - that is usually an herb garden but maybe I'll do something different this year)....it definitely needs an editing but we are waiting for the roof work first before diving in. It's Florida so matter how small you expect something to stay it just doesn't and the ferns just keep multiplying! Our roofer likes to use Owens Corning or Certainteed so I think I will try to stick with one of those brands. I LOVE the roof color in the picture above but OC Driftwood looks so different on an actual roof. It has way less gray that I would have expected and red and green undertones. I like the darker colors - our neighbor up the street just did onyx and it looks really sharp. It would really go nice with our window trim (which is bronze). If we decide to change the color when we paint, then I would go with cypress green, which is the color I used for my house in Tampa. And the Certainteed version of Driftwood is still in the running.

What if I were to paint the board and batten plus the wall all the same color? See inspiration below. I know they have the wainscotting going up the entire wall and I am doing only a half wall. Does that matter? I love this light color, but I have cool white floor and white sink. What would look good? Chantilly lace or white dove?

I think a pale tan with white trim and columns would look good with black shutters and red brick. I would remove any planting from in front of the proch, except annuals and perennials, to open it up. Add more flowering bushes and ornamental trees. You have a lovely house and setting.

The three pulls are on the actual cabinet color. The only light I have right now are the bare bulbs the contractor put in. I don't know what color they are but very warm. I think the photo with the pulls was taken in direct daylight (which we don't get much of it this kitchen despite the two big sliders. I think all three go great with nordic white. Below are photos in various lighting. Honey bronze, ash gray and satin nickel. The faucets will be polished nickel. I'm trying not to highlight the gray in the counters but rather the blue and warmer, bronze veins. The ash gray is very warm and differnet but, as much as I like it, I feel like it's trying to steal the show. This particular brushed nickel has very little yellow in it. I love unlaquered brass but, in my mind, patina and modern don't really mix. Maybe I'm wrong about that. I may have to go to the fabricators once they've started to work on my counters and lay these on a piece of the stone.
