I think a soft white would be a good choice. Anything blue or green can often make the wood look more orange.

What don't you like about the current color?

Wow wish you had removed the 4" piece already there and gone with beige instead of gray tile. Try BM Edgecomb Gray or Balboa Mist

If the backsplash you chose is blue as it appears int the pictures, the current color is working with it. The granite is warm but the work is done. I agree a creamy white or neutral beige would be a bridge and not introduce another color.

Do you have undercabinet lights?

I looked at your previous post and your granite is a beautful cream with both golden and gray swirls. Can you post a close up of the tile and/or provide the name?

Well, I hate to be the one to say it but that backsplash isn't helping the overall design. The cool and warm tones are clashing. I'd keep the current wall color because while it doesn't go with the countertops it is at least giving the blue backsplash something to relate to.

It definitely looks blue but I know how monitors can be iffy.

Take a look at Benjamin Moore Pale Oak. It's a really pale greige that might work with your gray and your gold. I used it and thought it was compatible with tones similar to your kitchen. I'll attach a post about it. It's really a chameleon color so it will vary depending on your light.

I'm not loving the backsplash. That is making it hard to find the perfect paint color. This is a warm beige kitchen. Gray has no business being in this space.

The Pale Oak barncatz mentioned can be a great shade if your lighting is right. Might be worth testing out I still think the soft white you had in mind would be nice.

Another vote for BM Pale Oak. I like your cabinets. You mentioned changing them in the distant future. If you decide to paint them white/off-white later, you can then add more gray.

That really is a beautiful granite. Do you have the name?

I actually think this color tile is a better choice than had you picked a beige. With the floors, cabs and main granite color your kitchen would have been a sea of brownish tones. There's enough grey in the granite to pull off the grey tiles; if you stick with grey on the walls, I'd go for a lighter tone.

I agree that your backsplash does go with your granite, once you provided a close up photo. The metal cabinet pulls tie it in too. Maybe a very pale grey wall. almost white but not too cool? Or a creamy white.

All the critics who gave an opinion about something you didn’t ask about, should come back and apologize after seeing your close up picture. The tile certainly does go nicely with the granite. The initial photos you posted did make the tile seem blue but they still should not have called you out on it, since you weren’t asking people if they liked the tile or not. If grey “has no business being in a warm beige kitchen” as one poster stated, then why did nature make grey mixed in with that warm beige in your beautiful granite.

Don't despair! Asa you know, your BS color is not reading true on our monitors. I would take a sample of the tile and have it color matched. Or go a bit lighter. The walls seem to go with the BS and I think that is the direction you should go in.

I would also go along with a creamy color that picks up the light cream color in the granite.

Love your backsplash! I think it pulls out the gray from the granite and makes the kitchen look more modern. Gray wall color and gray kitchen rug would be perfect complements.

I don’t buy into the dictum of “warm color/cool colors” that I read so often on these threads. I see them combined all the time in good design. And who decided that 4” granite must be removed? Where is it written?

We have similar granite countertop Gold cashmere with spicy maple cabinets . I was looking for backslash ideas. I like what you done.

I think the pale oak as suggested above could work nicely. The gray backsplash ties to the counter and the pale oak would also tie to the counter and lighten up the room. The gray on the walls now looks ok, but I think the pale oak or a creamy white as you thought would work. I think I prefer the pale oak because it is both beige and gray.

Some of the comments here have been very unkind and not helpful. The backsplash is already in and the 4” granite is staying. The poster is happy with her redo.

I would be cautious about adding beige to this kitchen. It may give a dated looked which the poster is trying to avoid.

I know that, but I was asking for advice on a paint color, not the opinion on the backsplash :) I asked for the opinion on the backsplash in a previous post!

I'm not convinced a griege will work here. I would probably keep it an off white.
