BlueStar Range Hood: low profile vs. regular

S Ever

I have pretty much narrowed down my search to a BlueStar range hood (although also considering Best and Broan). My requirements are 36 inches wide, 24 deep and 600 CFM, the style is wall mounted professional (not chimney).

My question: is there any performance difference between the low profile (10 inch high) and the regular pro style (18 inches high) Bluestar range hood? Also would love to hear general impressions of Bluestar range hoods. I called the company and left a message but as of yet have not had a call back.

Here are the models (I am getting a range too so there is a $500 discount):

Regular 18 inch high ($1995 before rebate):

Low profile 10 inches high ($1495 before rebate)

I know there are a lot of strong and varied opinions out here and in the wider world about CFMs, make up air etc., but I already traveled those roads and I appreciate all the feedback people have provided in other threads. Right now I am looking to finalize a decision that meets the requirements above (36 inch wide/24 deep/600 CFM/Wall mount).

If you have first hand experience with other hoods that meet those specs please let me know.

thanks!
