A Relationship Question to ask my friends on here.
Comments (25)If its been 4 years, and no serious plans, you two are purposely keeping things separate for a reason, maybe just offer to help with something else to make up for it, maybe something you are more experienced at helping at. Your friend should understand that if you aren't good at or experienced at this, it wasn't fair for her to take the offer in for free labor. People make a living off using others to get their jobs done, and this is probably not so here, but its good to keep your boundaries and be fair. It's not fair for her to blame you she has to pay for something she would have paid for anyways. It wasn't fair to delay it saying you would get it done, but she should know you don't know much about it. I don't think she should be mad, you don't really owe anything, but what ever you decide to do would be nice. I don't think you should have to pay for anything though, it's her house....See MoreAn old friend asked me to say hello to all of you
Comments (13)Thanks Yachter, I will make sure I look for that shop. Since I have never been there before, everything will be new to me. One of my other friends told me there is a big antiques/gift/craft store by the highway so I want to look for that too. We got reservations in a park within walking distance of the main drag. That should help us avoid some of the traffic--if we can take the heat! LOL I love it when they put your purchase in a bag with the tissue paper. Tried to get the owners at the antique/collectibles shop where I worked for awhile to do that, but they said plastic bags are cheaper! Amazed me that she was so into doing great display vignettes and couldn't see why nice bags would add a little touch of class and make the customers feel special. Do you already have new homes for all six puppies? That would be so great. I take it this is not the first litter your dog has had. I know they are a very popular breed. So are you going to miss the yard sales this weekend? Oh no, I always look forward to seeing your great finds. I just walked down to one my neighbor was having--not much left, but I did get some baby clothes for my great neice's baby--almost like new from my neighbors twin GD's. Luvs...See Morei need to ask a big favor from any canadian friends
Comments (5)I'm in Ontario too - it kind of amuses me to see an American having an issue getting something from a Canadian store. I don't know how many times I've wanted things from stores located in the states that I can't have shipped directly here because they won't ship over the border... not to mention the places that will ship to Canada, but have rather high shipping charges while they advertise free shipping prominently for US customers. Can be a bit galling at times, but luckily I have family down in the states that I can get stuff shipped to and they'll forward it on up here. Lots of different reasons companies won't do it due to taxes, border charges and damage due to the poor treatment of packages going over the border with the expanded security stuff and that sort of thing....See MoreAsking my GW friends for prayers for a IRL friend....
Comments (35)I say prayers for everyone in that situation whenever I am reminded of them. Like I said, I was only at the blood center and the families and friends all touched my life. It was scary at times, especially when he had a fungal infection that was not responding to antibiotics. His flesh was coming off and they didn't know what it was until the culture came back. Once they got the right stuff treating it, everything turned around. That was the infection that delayed his transplant, but as I said, he is nearly ready to return home now and was able to drive out for the day on Thanksgiving. It was great. I wish I could be there in person so you could see and feel the hope. I'll send all I can by angel wings....See Morekulrn
