Kathleen, Please tell Stud hello from me. And, he really shouldn't be sitting on that rug. We have proof in a pic that he has been known to be a bad boy at least once!!!

Yes, but that was before rehab. He has paid his debt to the rug world, and just like Paris has decided to be a better rabbit and help people.
Speaking of rugs, where is Lee? She has been missing a long time.

mrclint: Nice tree. Glad to see others singing the praises of Page mandarin hybrid. Most people don't know it is closer to a grapefruit than an orange (in its genes). Page responds very well to fruit thinning as Patty mentioned for those suffering with small Page fruit. When I moved from Houston, in 04, Page was the first tree I planted. The tree was on citrange rootstock. That Christmas eve night it started snowing about 9 PM and continued until about 4am. My Page and about 60 other potted citrus were covered with two layers of heavy duty frost blanket so I did not care. Next morning there were 8 inches of wet snow on the ground. I could not see where the frost blanket was! It looked like a big igloo out there. I now have two more Page trees on standard trifoliate. One was supposed to be a Lee. The original Page was damaged in a bad freeze in the winter of 09/10. The bark split all the way past the graft line. But it is holding up better than I thought possible. My frost blanket ripped that night.

Hi Dawn! Oh my... to catch up on the kiddos! My oldest is now married and lives in Marlow, OK. She has two babies (eeek! I'm a Grandma!) and a wonderful husband that provides for her to stay home with the boys and be an amazing Mom. The younger daughter decided to join the Navy. We dropped her off at boot camp on Mother's Day last year (best/worst Mother's Day ever!) and in December she got orders to Japan as well. She is stationed at a base about 30 miles away from us. It's been so nice having her close, and it's incredible how much she has matured since joining the Navy. She gets promoted to E4 in a couple weeks, and a very good friend of ours that we were stationed at Tinker with will be "pinning" her new rank on her. The planets all aligned so that our friend's ship will be in port that week. The friend is also female, and is my daughter's Navy Mentor, so it's makes it a very special event. My son just turned 9, spoiled to the max since he's an "only child" now. He's adjusted so well to living in Japan. He has several Japanese friends, and is learning Japanese in school, so I sometimes have him translate for me when we go off base. He's learned how to properly bow, and the older women giggle at him when he bows and says "Domo arigatōgozaimashita" (thank you very much). He's also figured out that he gets reward with a piece of candy for it sometimes. LOL Winters are not harsh here at all. This year was considered wet, and only once did it get below freezing. I have a Bruugmansia that lost it's leaves, but it's recovered well, and is about two weeks away from blooming. So lucky to have it, the previous residents were told to remove it before we moved in, so he cut it to the ground and covered it with dirt for me. It's at least 8 feet tall now! So beautiful! Glad to here Ok is finally getting some decent weather! I was so distraught to see the damage in Moore in May. That was very close to where we used to live and it took awhile for me to get a hold of some family in Yukon and Tuttle areas to make sure they were all okay. My husband I often talk about where we want our "forever home" to be when he's done with his Navy time, and over and over we talk about coming back to Oklahoma! There's so much to love about OK, but the strength of the community as witnessed after the storm is what makes Oklahoma so special! The local garden center started selling starter plants in Feb/March. I bought what I could recognize buy their leaves. The labels are all in kanjii. I need many more years experience before I'll be able to read kajii. LOL If it was in romanic alphabet, I could pop it into "Google" and figure it out. I think the size of the vegetables I'm seeing are related to the amount space most gardeners have available to for growing. We are in a suburb of Tokyo. Having a yard is rare here! Most people have an area about 3'x3' to work with, but the large marjority of people live in high rise apartment buildings, and have a very small balcony area for potted plants. They also use the balconies for drying their laundry, which is quite odd when you're not accustomed to see a 10 story building with every apartment having clothing and bedding hanging on a balcony. A little google research has shown me that seeds for commercial growing are extremely regulated. Obviously they want to avoid cross breeding and disease, so they require a "Phytosanitary Inspection Certificate" at the growing site when the seeds pass through customs. I will check with our local post office though. Since I'm not a commercial grower, and all my mail is received through the US Postal Service, I might not have the same restrictions. Thank you for bringing it to my attention! I will do a little more research and if I find out it okay without any problems, then I'll let you know what seeds I'm interested in.

Thank you all for your sweet kind words.I will always cherish the friendship I made here several years ago.I think of you often.Can someone tell me how Ruthie is doing.I think of her often to and the last I heard she was battle the terrible word Cancer too.I pray they will find a care for that.Seeing my Dear FIL go thur what he is going thur and have seizures and being so so sick from radation[not sure if all my words are spelt right.please forgive me.I watch my own dear dad battle cancer of the stomach and die at the age 57,you can see why I hate that terrible word cancer.But Greg and Ashley and I take one day at a time.Seeing the hurt in Greg's eyes because him and his dad are best friends.I do pray Ruthie is doing much better.Jennie and Steph I love yall alot too and miss yall alot.I love everyone of you and I will try to post more when I can.love judy

Oh, Stewie, I can certainly see why you needed to go to bed, it looks like you flat wear yourself out during a typical day! All those catnaps will exhaust a fella! And your tum-tum just BEGS to be touched and tickled, you're quite the cutie-pie. If you politely ask your Mom to turn the TV onto a hunting channel, maybe you can watch wild turkeys, that's what Beeswax likes to watch. Poor boy, he doesn't have a catnip video, he's deprived, unlike YOU and your sibs. Your mom obviously loves you a lot to keep you entertained like she does. We're getting ready to have an early morning thunderstorm right now, and all our boys are in the house making preperations for it. That means they're eating. They'll find places to sleep during the storm, but they don't go under our bed, it's too scary under there. BIG dustbunnies, heck, probably that's where Kath got the dream of the murderous rabbits! They're brave, but they aren't THAT brave! I hope you have a good day, Stewie and thanks for writing. You sure are one cute kid and it looks like you MAY have relatives in Canada! Oh, how nice to see Stud again. His rehab obviously worked--we haven't heard a single complaint about him in a long long time! ;o) Obviously Kathleen is confident that he has reformed--otherwise I know she wouldn't put that wonderful rug at risk! LOL

Right now I can't seem to get very creative. Maybe after vacation, I will have some new motivation. Living in a motor home for three weeks should make me feel thrilled to have my full sized tables to decorate! LOL

Oh, I thought I had told everyone already. We leave around the 5h of August. DH has to go to a convention in Florida, but we are driving the MH to Missouri and then he will fly on to Florida, while I stay and visit all the relatives for a week. Then we will take the MH to Branson, and then head back home. DH has a Verizon card that allows Internet access, but it is not very fast--I should be able to read some of the posts, but might not be able to reply as much--I get frustrated when it is soooo slow. LOL Some of the RV parks have WiFi, but not all of them. Next year we are planning to buy a satelite dish for the MH so that we will have high speed internet when we travel. Luvs

Oh Luvs, we love to go to Branson in Aug. but (boo hoo) not this year with new puppies. They won't be ready to go to their new homes til Sept.

I love the heat & the sun in Branson, almost (almost) as much as Florida.

Check out the shop on the main drag by the Clarion Hotel at the Palace, it's just to the left side of the hotel. It's actually a small mall, you've probably been there, but look for the shop on the right when you first walk into the mall from the front, has about 3 rooms, they have GORGEOUS table decor and last Aug. they had a lot of it on SALE! You won't walk out empty handed by any means! Oh, now I wish I was going, I luv that shop!!!! I'll look for the name of the shop & post it to you, all I remember is they give you these darling orchid bags & put pretty tissue paper in the bag, like a ready made gift!!!

Thanks Yachter, I will make sure I look for that shop. Since I have never been there before, everything will be new to me. One of my other friends told me there is a big antiques/gift/craft store by the highway so I want to look for that too. We got reservations in a park within walking distance of the main drag. That should help us avoid some of the traffic--if we can take the heat! LOL

I love it when they put your purchase in a bag with the tissue paper. Tried to get the owners at the antique/collectibles shop where I worked for awhile to do that, but they said plastic bags are cheaper! Amazed me that she was so into doing great display vignettes and couldn't see why nice bags would add a little touch of class and make the customers feel special.

Do you already have new homes for all six puppies? That would be so great. I take it this is not the first litter your dog has had. I know they are a very popular breed.

So are you going to miss the yard sales this weekend? Oh no, I always look forward to seeing your great finds. I just walked down to one my neighbor was having--not much left, but I did get some baby clothes for my great neice's baby--almost like new from my neighbors twin GD's.

Luvs, You are going to have a wonderful time on vacation. And we want to see all the goodies you buy. I'm glad you will have internet access even if it is slow. Next year you will love your satellite dish.

So what is everybody else planning for vacation. I know Yachter and Jaybird have already gone, and Kathleen lives in a vacation spot. How about the rest of you?
