Help with paint color/curb appeal
Comments (6)Yardvaark - Thanks for your insight! I will look into the taupe color family. The entrance does have a white ceiling. I guess I'm not sure how to add additional white. Perhaps a white bench instead of the natural wood one that is there now. Interesting about the tile installation. The tile is not my favorite and I would love to replace it. I definitely see your point about the installation. The tree is a problem. It is leaning to the left as you face the house because it grew together with another oak that died and was removed. So the tree is lopsided and removing that lower limb will not help, but that branch is also growing into the house and will not clear the roof so I agree that it needs to be cut back. Unfortunately, it has to be cut back to the trunk I believe because there are no offshoots or green growth until the very end of the branch (which will be trimmed)....See Moreadvice on exterior paint colors: front door, garage door, curb appeal
Comments (14)Snap a photo on a sunny day then use the Sherwin Williams ColorSnap app to play with the colors. I would select a tone slightly darker than your mortar for the garage door and a color slightly darker than your darkest brick for the front door. I would then on the garage door install magnetic faux hinges and windows; this will add detail to the door, like the below house. I know they can be found on Amazon, not sure where else. Comments (0)I am currently trying to decide on exterior paint colors. I swear I've invested at least 48 hours in it at this point and everything is starting to look the same. My house is white currently (would love it to stay that way, but hubby says it never stays clean long after pressure washing). I’m not a huge fan of color and am mostly attracted to neutrals and moody colors. I’m at a loss. I’m willing to add brick, board and batton siding potentially, or anything similar. Currently agreeable gray and peppercorn are topping my list just not sure how to incorporate them? i like iron ore and gauntlet gray as well. I also really like two tone homes, but i dont know if thats possible with the architecture of my home. (dont look at the mess on the front porch we were cleaning the house out) 🙈 I welcome all suggestions please 😁...See MoreExterior curb appeal + paint colors
Comments (10)The current color is nice, but the different color over the half moon window is distracting, so when you repaint, make that the same color as the rest of the house. Are you looking for a change? What colors do you like? Were you thinking of going lighter or darker? At least on the side you're showing there isn't any brick or stone that would dictate going in a particular direction, so you have free rein. Give us an idea of what you like so people can make relevant suggestions. Also, the roof color doesn't show in this picture. Please post a picture that shows the roof or tell us what color it is....See MoreRelated Professionals
